Has gone up with their prices quite alot! And not too many areas to go to get these vaccines and meds for cats and dogs.

Awesome service & staff. Great pricing. The wait is worth the price but with any vet appointment I've usually had a wait.

Dr. Karla at Whiskers and Paws is truly exceptional. I…read morecannot say enough wonderful things about the care my 19-year-old cat, Goldie, received from Dr. Karla and her team. From the very first conversation, Dr. Karla was compassionate, patient, and incredibly thorough. She took the time to explain everything clearly, answered every question without rushing, and treated Goldie with such gentleness and respect. Goldie required a dental procedure that felt overwhelming given her age, but Dr. Karla's expertise and calm reassurance gave me complete confidence. The procedure went smoothly, and Goldie is already home, comfortable, and even eating -- which speaks volumes about the quality of care she received. What also truly stood out was how fair and reasonable the pricing was compared to other veterinary practices in the area. Exceptional care is often paired with overwhelming costs, but Dr. Karla provides top-tier, thoughtful veterinary medicine at a price that feels honest and accessible -- which means so much to pet owners, especially those caring for senior animals. Most of all, Dr. Karla truly listens. She understands how deeply we love our pets and treats them like the family members they are. I never once felt dismissed or brushed off -- only supported and informed every step of the way. If you are looking for a veterinarian who is knowledgeable, compassionate, and genuinely devoted to animal well-being, I wholeheartedly recommend Dr. Karla and Whiskers and Paws. We are so grateful to have found her. -- Amber

After waiting in the car for over 40 minutes, a call was made to confirm both dogs and what they needed. The tech even told me she didn't know how much longer because the vet arrived late. Once I heard that, I decided to leave and go elsewhere. While waiting in the car, I went on Yelp and noticed other people complaining about the same issues as mine. Walk-in clinics are great, and I have used them especially for vaccinations but in this case, waiting in the car and being at the mercy of a person who isn't very efficient is not saving money or time. I would advise to do your homework and find a vet who is reasonable with charges, and cares about people and pets, especially with waiting.

They try to upsell you on all kinds of things to get you to pay more, including now they apparently will not do a vaccination without a wellness exam (cha-ching), which involves nothing more than a 2 minute examination and asking a couple questions. For almost $100!!! Not a big deal overall, so I'll just pay over the phone, right? Not this place, some crazy eyed lady literally shut the exam room door in my face and threatened to call the police because I calmly said I'd gladly pay over phone when I returned home. Have always paid them without issue, but no she wanted to immediately escalate a non-issue. Crazy eyed lady said my only choices were to get someone else to pay or they hold my dog hostage? What Bolshevik madness is this? Great way to treat your customers a$$€holes. Never again.

Was 13 years at South Ridge Vet in Kannapolis and loved the vets there and staff. Bought by…read moreBanfield and it is now HORRIBLE and the vets we loved are no longer there (understandably!). You pay ALOT of money up front for very little coverage when something happens and then they hold you until you pay the contract (yearly) off before they allow you to transfer from them. BAD! Met Dr. Uekele and Team here. AWESOME! I felt at home right away. They are a newer staff currently, but all very warm and willing to do whatever to accommodate our fur babies (and we have 4 rescues). The vet technicians are extremely knowledgeable and offer many different options for our then stressed feline and they all helped once home and we are good now. Was able to get 3 cats in on an emergency for rabies shots so that we could adopt a puppy from a local foster who required updated vaccines...Banfield would not release our records and we couldn't put our hands on the tags, Dr. Uekele said bring them in and a tech would give the shots and we can work from there...Now we are a happy family with 3 felines and 1 canine. I also got wind that they will be adding to their staff shortly with a Vet that is absolutely as amazing as Dr. Uekele and we are super excited about this. About 5 months ago we had to say good bye to our 13 year old Golden Retriever, husband's first ever dog and the dog that grew up with our kids. It is always hard to say good bye and the loss is real!!! Dr. U gave us an extra year by helping us understand what she may have going on and allowing us to make the decision to chose treatment or let her go, giving us all the options in detail. It was a devastating day to say the least, but the staff and Dr. U never left our side throughout the process...Can't say enough about that and how much it matter to us, especially my husband. I have read many of these reviews and it saddens me because I've seen first hand how they care about your pets. Dr. Ueleke is now the NEW owner of ACC. He is working hard to make sure that owners and their babies are taken care of with empathy and patience and more than that, good veterinary care! Anytime a business changes hands, some staff depart, new staff steps in and change can create a little bit of chaos and folks don't always like change. But please I ask that you give them another chance. Privately owned vet clinics are a dying breed, many have now been gobbled up into the huge corporations such as Banfield. I could have stayed there, paid my 1000.00 a year contract fee for normal pet care (included 1 annual visit, vaccines and that was it!) and not been able to see the same vet twice. I care much more for my pets that to do that. I've seen some of the comments about the costs here as well, like I stated above, 1000.00 or more a year for a contract of care (no choice, you had to accept this) and currently for all I've had done with Dr. Ueleke and Team, I am not even CLOSE to this amount over 2 years now. How much is the care for your pet worth to you and better yet, WHAT ARE YOU GETTING FOR WHAT YOU ARE PAYING FOR????? Banfield won't work with you, but clinics like ACC will! Please give them a second chance. I promise you won't be disappointed.
