Very bare bones, but the staff is nice. Unfortunately the communication when you pick up your dog…read morevaries. We have 3 dogs. Some would come home with little behavior reports about their stay, and some did not. This happened multiple times. And the last time we picked up our dogs, one had lost weight. They never told us she wasn't eating. That can happen when you leave pets for any period of time, but it would have been nice if they mentioned it. Also, they tended to be very exhausted and stressed when we picked them up. We noticed the difference when we started bringing them elsewhere. Bottom line is your pets will most likely be safe here, but don't expect special treatment unless you pay extra.

i have taken my dog to Gochenhauer's for boarding for 13 years. I boarded her a few months ago,…read moredropping her off at approximately 3 pm and picked her up at approximately 1 pm the next day. I was charged for two whole days. I then scheduled her for the 4th of July weekend about a month ahead of time. In the interim, my dog developed a medical condition that required two medications per day and a request to check her late at night. It was submitted the week of the 4th. On July 2, "Sam" calls me and informs me they are cancelling her boarding. At the end of the conversation, "Sam" told me they don't want her back anyway. When I asked why, because she had always come home with good report cards, "Sam" told me she has anxiety issues. Needless to say, this created enormous problems. I wouldn't leave anything there that has a pulse.

I have been using Dr. Amin for 13 years now. When my first baby was diagnosed with a tumor of her…read morespleen, no sooner did we find out, by Dr. Amin telling us to get an MRI as that was his suspicion, within that week she began to fail. We put out baby to bed on a Saturday night and by Sunday morning she was bleeding bad. I called him early that morning and he said I will be right over, which meant him getting out of bed early on a Sunday morning to drive to our house in the rain, and he let her go to her next journey in life. This was 10 years ago. I cannot tell you enough that Dr. Amin showed so much compassion to us and our baby and has continued to do so with all our babies. Now, I just saw a post for 12/29/25, and I found this post to be very upsetting. Never in all my years of going to Dr. Amin and I might say my first visit with him as well, did he say we ask to many questions. I have never found him to be of the culture of getting money out of the patient. In fact, he has always been about saving his patients money. So, for this person to state something so negative is absolutely absurd. So, with my ending statement on this matter, it is a good thing you did find another vet, as you are not worthy of such an amazing vet. Dr. Amin is one of the most caring vets I have met. His love for his profession is a testament to us all. I will scream from the roof tops that this man Dr. Amin should be your next call for you to be a patient of his!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Loved by all patients. Danielle Dubbs.

What a nice group of people!…read more I had my dog spayed yesterday. The folks at Atglen Vet. Hospital went over the procedure with me, and made sure all my questions were answered. When I picked Cleo up, they told me what to expect for the next few days, had already given her pain medication, and had registered her with a national database. (I had her chipped) I would highly recommend AVH to anyone looking for a vet. They took very good care of my Cleo.

We interviewed several owners because our 90 pound pit/lab mix was not the most trusting dog around strangers. To be sure he would have taken a bullet for anyone in our family, he was that loyal, but he didn't warm easily to strangers especially men. We arranged for him to come over and meet Vince and his crew and it was amazing.. Vince new just the body posture and approach to use and after a few minutes of barking his usual warning our tough guy let Vince lead him by the leash into the Kennel, and he warmed right up to the rest of the staff. He was always happy to come home but he never got the worried look at Sun Hill we experienced with previous kennel. Our much loved "Big Beast" is gone now but we continue to use Sun-Hill for our newest family friend. They also offer swimming and exercise. You owe it your pet to check this place out.
