Parking is pretty spacious I have never had a problem with parking sometimes you will find big trucks but there is more than enough room. So this is a little hidden gem well at least for me they have a deli located in the back of the liquor store. Hey... so this isn't really typically the type of place you "plan" to visit.... totally get that so don't expect marble floors and friendly staff.... Been going to to this place since a very long time. Never had an issue until today. The sandwiches is are good, but I couldn't believe that the owner and the cashier (afro-latino dude) thought I was trying to steal. All I doing was looking to pair a good drink with my sandwich, which took a bit for me to find something good. Once done with picking what I wanted, I noticed the cashier pulled out a baseball bad and stood by the sandwich counter. 5 stars people?? I didn't see it on my visit. Yes, the people here are really nice, all smiles and happy. That's nice, but i ordered a sandwich, so smiling or not, the proof is in the pudding, or sandwich in this case, and i'm left w/o feeling the love. I ordered the large hot pastrami on a wheat roll. Apparently, large just means a bigger piece of bread w/o any more meat. They just spread it out over the extra inches of sandwich. I paid extra for the bread and extra condiments. That's not cool. Not to mention, pastrami shouldn't crunch in my mouth. WTF?!?! I guess the pastrami was left in the microwave for too long when they heated it. Yuck!! The bread was fresh, the pastrami had good taste when it wasn't crunchy, the toppings were fresh. For the price i paid $5.71 w/tax, it was an ok value, but if i ever go again, i'll stick w/the regular sized sandwich...and avoid a hot sandwich. I must admit, what initially fueled me to write this review, was actually anger, anger of a previous review. Something disappointing which went something along the lines of, "good, not great." Or some BS like that... I mean what does that even convey to the reader? What am I expected to glean from this.. How the hell does that statement tell me anything about the damn sandwiches?! Jerk.. Anyways, so I've been visiting this liquor store for quite some time. Needless to say, I don't run into many liquor store/sandwich shops, so although I work a block away, I've been apprehensive to try it. Which isn't saying much, since I'm apprehensive about almost everything, including writing this post. I came here a few weeks ago and decided I would try a sandwich, their menu shows about 15 different sandwiches, basic hot and cold like tuna, and pastrami. I decided to try a small pastrami sandwich, with everything. I always pick out the tomatoes, but i wanted to observe the freshness of all the ingredients. Order was made in about 5 minutes, pretty quick I felt, and you pay at a different counter. They offer wheat or white bread, I got the white. The bread was fresh, and surprisingly it tasted good enough to not want to tear off the excess parts, which there wasn't much of. The lettuce, pickles and tomatoes looked and tasted fresh, the pastrami was tasty, it did not taste old. Altogether it was a good sandwich. I already went back for the large, and again was not disappointed. Now i intend to go back and try a different sandwich the next time I visit. Logically I feel, if the pastrami was good enough to go back for, the other sandwiches I'm hoping will not disappoint. read more

I like to come here because I can get a large cup of ice for 35 cents and fill it with my own drink (diet squirt). There is a deli section where they will make you a tasty sandwich or salad, Many people I work with come here at lunch and I am often drooling at their plentiful salads and sandwiches. Best sandwhiches in LA. Yeah its a liquor store... but try their sandwiches. Go before or after the lunch rush... there is always a line... cuz their sandwhiches are so FLIPPING good!
