I can't say enough about how good Kara Breithaupt is as a realtor. We were first time home buyers and she educated us on everything related to home buying and the process, including home construction (construction materials, age, appliances, flood potential, etc.), negotiating (with lenders, seller, etc.), insurance, inspection, loan paperwork, cost estimates, home repairs, and countless other things. She respected and addressed every question we had throughout the process. She anticipated our needs and sent us paperwork ahead of time to complete. She has incredible patience and is very prompt with her responses (through text and email). She has an incredible knowledge of the area including the strengths and weaknesses of each area of the city and how it would best fit our budget and lifestyle. She quickly learned what we wanted in a home and was very open and nonjudgmental with our home buying process while still being critical of homes that may not be good values or could have hidden issues or costs (i.e. hidden scratches, potential mechanical issues, money required to change things upon purchase). Another notable thing is that she treated every home showing the same regardless of cost, and never tried to push something more expensive on us. She was also a great negotiator on our behalf, and did not settle for less than our agreed upon requests for home repairs from the seller. We began not knowing exactly what we wanted and ended up with a home that was beyond our expectations. I can't think of a single complaint of her throughout the entire process. We couldn't be happier with our experience and I would HIGHLY recommend Kara to anyone looking to buy a home......She also has some really funny stories while you are waiting around for the inspector, etc. read more

Kara is amazing!! She helped me purchase my very first home 7 years ago, and she more recently helped my husband and I sell that home and buy a new one for our growing family. She is incredibly responsive, makes every step of the process (whether buying or selling) feel easy and seamless, and provides extremely helpful guidance drawn from her extensive experience as a realtor and property owner. Kara always stays on top of all of the details, helping alleviate a lot of the stress that comes with making such huge financial decisions and life changes, and she does most of the legwork when it comes to coordinating inspections and contractors. She also genuinely wants to see each client find their perfect home, and she was so accommodating with our countless requests to view dozens of properties (some multiple times), always scheduling visits quickly and showing up with a smile and enthusiasm. When it came time to sell our old home, we wanted to get it done quickly after we closed on our new one. Kara had the house photographed and the listing active within mere days, and we were under contract for the list price shortly thereafter, enabling us to close on the sale of our old house before the first mortgage payment on our new home even came due. If I'm ever in the market for a new home again, my first call will be to Kara, and I can't recommend her highly enough to anyone looking to buy or sell. She's the best! read more

This is the second time Kara "held my hand" while I purchased a home. If you want the best representation and responsiveness while selling or purchasing a home then you will choose Kara Breithaupt "Bright Hop". Recently Kara represented me in purchasing a home in Old Metairie. If she had not immediately responded to my email regarding this property, and then gave good advice as to immediate action "we" must take to obtain this home, I would not have the beautiful, nearly perfect home I was able to purchase with her invaluable assistance, since there was already a full price offer on the home after only hours on the market. I cannot adequately express my admiration for this young woman. Of the many realtors I have hired as I bought and sold properties over many years, I do not know of anyone more responsive or knowledgeable. She knows the markets; is aware of most of the properties available; and will immediately respond. Then when the sale is complete, she offers assistance with utilities, taxes and trades. She does all of this with the kindness and patience of an adored kindergarten teacher and the tenacity of a bulldog with a bone. read more

Kara Breithaupt was the realtor who helped us purchase our home in Bayou St. John and city park area of New Orleans. She was absolutely helpful and professional from the beginning to the end. It took us over a year to find our home and she met and looked at many homes with us. When we finally found our dream home when strangely enough we were checking listings remotely from Germany. She was able to help us bid on and purchase our home while we were not even in the country! She was so helpful in the process and without her I truely believe we would not have been able to get our now home as many were interested in the property which faced bayou St. John. She was sure to keep us in the running and we ended up getting the house. I would recommend Kara to anyone trying to buy a home in New Orleans. She is honest, straight forward, prompt and helpful with any and all questions one might have as they try to purchase a home. She would sooner y'all you out of a house if it was not a fit than to y'all you into one. She has her buyers best intentions in mind, and works to make sure you are 100% happy through the purchase process and after. read more

From the moment we first contacted Kara, she was incredibly responsive, professional, and insightful. Due to being a military family, we had a few restraints that needed to be overcome like being 1800 miles and two time zones away, only having four days to be in town to look for houses, and dealing with VA requirements for the loan. Kara went above and beyond all expectations we had and was able to find us the perfect home, in the perfect neighborhood. We were able to close at the ideal time for us to be able to go straight from one house to the next without having to put our stuff in storage!! Even when we had issues with third parties (mortgage company, insurance company, inspectors, etc) Kara did not hesitate to contact them on my behalf to ensure all necessary requirements were met in a timely manner. After 19 years in the military, this is not my first experience of buying a house in an unknown city/state but this most definitely was the best experience. Solely because of Kara. Hands down the best realtor we have ever worked with. read more

Simply put, we could not have asked for a better experience and would recommend them without reservation. Our home buying journey ended up taking over five years and Snap stuck with us the whole way. As highly recommended as possible. Coming into the process with zero knowledge, the energetic team at Snap were more than willing to help us from step one until our closing, dealing with every twist and turn as soon as they occurred and could not have been more supportive. Explaining how things work, being completely customer focused, incredibly fast with anything time sensitive and working with us through the ups and downs, we couldn't have dreamed of having a Realty company as supportive as Snap was through our home buying journey. Kara, Marystasia and team were professional, helpful, friendly, supportive and honest. Dealing with all of the employees at Snap Realty has been such an easy, educational and helpful experience as we bought our first home. read more

Kara was absolutely amazing as our Realtor. She made us feel like we were her only client by being really responsive. Kara patiently spent enough time with us to figure out what we were looking for, and also helped us understand what kind of houses would work for us. Kara really knows New Orleans, and knows all the quirks and peculiarities of each neighbourhood. We really trust Kara's advice. We are really really happy with the house that Kara helped us find. Kara also expertly guided us through the process of making the winning offer, and then all the rest of the journey through inspections, appraisals, escrow and closing. She even helped us find people after the sale for taking care of things like pest control, cleaning, painting and small repairs. She was with us every step of the way. If we ever need a Realtor in New Orleans, we will call Kara. We are really glad we met her. We can't recommend her enough. read more

We couldn't have found a better real estate agency than Snap. Kara was amazing from start to finish. It took us a long time to find our perfect home and Kara had incredible patience during the process, listening closely to us to find that match. Kara has a wealth of knowledge about the neighborhoods, the historical districts' requirements, insurance agencies, and inspectors. After finding our home and carefully negotiating a contract, Kara gave us detailed information in order to contact local utilities and local tradespeople to get the house move-in ready. She also collects all of the information from the sale, which could easily get lost in email boxes, into organized files. She is kind, detail-oriented, and extremely responsive. She is proactive, takes initiative, and seems to know everyone. Kara goes above and beyond for her clients. We were lucky to be able to work with her. read more

Our experience with Kara Breithaupt from Snap Realty was exceptional. She and her company were very professional and organized. Kara has a good attitude and is sincere in her review of my home. Of the other realtors, Kara was the one who believed in listing my home. She was very positive, knowledgeable of the local market, including my neighborhood, and had a professional marketing approach. Kara made the sale process easy as she provides timely updates and thoroughly explains each stage. She also provided added security and confidence that my home was viewed only by those accompanied by a realtor. All of these qualities sold my home very quickly to the right buyer, who was a young family that found their new home to create everlasting memories. We greatly appreciate Kara and Snap Realty and plan to use their service in the future on other properties. read more

We met Kara in July of 2018 when relocating to New Orleans. We were met with prompt and professional service from Kara and her team of experts. Kara and Marystasia took the time to listen to our needs then designed a plan to meet our goals. The Breithaupt team was always available and prompt in responding to all our questions. We spent the next 7 months diving deep into New Orleans real estate options. Kara and her team took us [quite literally] all over New Orleans and surrounding areas during our home shopping. Every step of the way, they were kind and supportive in working with every request, no matter how odd or unusual. We received much more than professional service, we also got patience, advice and support in finding our home. You will not find a better Realtor. Sincerely, Michael and Leslie read more

Kara Breithaupt and her marketing team at Snap Realty were able to get our property listed on all the sites necessary to get offers. Kara found the right buyer for our double shotgun house that we have owned for more than 8 years. We are out-of-town owners and were not able to travel to the property location to oversee the sale. The Snap Realty team, and Kara in particular, were on top of all aspects of the sale and completely accessible during the process. There were twists and turns in this transaction and Kara handled them with skill and good humor. We needed contractors to handle some of the demands of the inspection. Kara went to her deep resource list to get the necessary repairs done. We were very pleased to get to the closing table on time. We highly recommend Kara and Snap Realty! read more

I had an excellent experience working with Kara and Snap Realty to purchase a home. Not being from the area, I'm incredibly grateful to have found such an established, professional, and very knowledgeable realtor to help navigate the home-buying process. Kara and everyone I engaged with from Snap Realty were friendly, informative, incredibly well organized, and made the process of buying a home about as seamless as it can be. And even when closing on a home over the holidays (and during a pandemic), Kara was there every step of the way keeping the process moving forward and answering any questions that came up. I truly can't say enough positive things about the level of quality from Kara/Snap Realty. read more

We have used this brokerage for all of our house buying and selling needs in New Orleans (6 real estate transactions) and have not only been satisfied with every interaction, but learned about each step of the process along the way. Rates are very reasonable, the knowledgeable staff goes above and beyond for client representation, and we've gotten everything we've wanted over the last ten years from each deal we've done thanks to Snap. My wife and I have recommended this firm to every friend and family member in a real estate transaction (about 8 in all) and they've also all reported positive experiences. can't recommend highly enough! read more

I purchased my condo in 2013 with Kara's help. I live in a different state (across the country), was a new home-buyer, and did not have the opportunity to see the condo in person. Kara was extremely helpful during this process and helped me manage all of the legal nuances in Louisiana. I decided to sell it in 2022, and she went above and beyond to help me sell it by personally dealing with an uncooperative home owners association. I would not have been able to sell my condo without Kara's amazing assistance. Not only is she incredibly knowledgable, but she is also amazingly responsive and polite. read more

Originally I signed up with a different agent I never heard from them, very little contact unless I initiated it. Kara bought the company and contacted me immediately much to my surprise as I wasn't informed of a new owner. I instantly felt a connection and I could hear a genuine interest in helping me, I just knew at that point I was in the good hands. Kara posted my land sale on every site imaginable. From that point I received an offer and the rest is history. I highly recommend Kara and her company for your real estate needs. She adds a personal touch which you don't often see anymore. read more

I wasn't sure I would be able to sell my home for a price that would work since I bought it in the height of the market for my neighborhood. Kara reviewed recent sales with me, walked through my house to discuss pros/cons a buyer might see and came up with a price that seemed aggressive but not unrealistic. Within 4 days I had 4 offers! She made a stressful process seamless - any hiccup that occurred she was on top of! I've worked with other realtors, and I honestly feel like I did myself a disservice previously - I would never use another NOLA realtor again! read more
