When asked to have the deposit surrendered to my fiancee, she was told "you can try and sue him but he has a great attorney and you'll never get it". The deposit check was never sent to the title company nor was there every a deposit check collected. Violation of real estate rules and guidelines. Rarely if every available between the hours of 8 till 12 due to her radio show. Repeated calls unanswered and botched customer service all away around. Then proceeded to threaten a lein on my fiancees home because of a personal debt which had nothing to do with the sale of her property. Stay away at all costs!

Because of the mentality of a few, like this agency's broker, Eric Hernandez, also known as Celso, people are moving into our great city and making it into a mess. Interest rates are not where we would like them to be, and the market is competitive. Give your all and be considerate; this is a competitive market. However, being referred to as a "KAREN" just because I'm white is not only improper, it's also quite offensive coming from this individual. It was our investment home that worried me. When the house was in the agent's custody, several problems came up. Certain things are not meant to break. Toilets are used by people, yet they are flushable. However, failing to inform the owners when landscaping becomes problematic when attempting to sell the property raises serious red flags. I sent the agent multiple emails, but each time the message bounced back. As soon as I contacted the broker, Eric, since I had questions regarding my property and couldn't get through to the agent, he seemed quite haughty. He carried on talking about his problems with Google throughout the taped exchange. To put it mildly, I was stunned by the email this guy sent me. It got under my skin for him to call his former clientele racist names when he didn't realize I was a New Orleanian. I don't hold the agent responsible; she was inexperienced. The broker, however, is a different matter. There should be no room for racists in our vibrant metropolis of New Orleans. No apologies from this guy but the racist email. She was very patient with me and showed me a number of homes. I am very indecisive and was over the place when it came to figuring out the type of home I wanted..... (single family... condo...multi family... etc.). She was very understanding and helped me decide what was best for myself. I ended up purchasing a single family hone in Mid City. There were some hiccups along the way (possible easements, inaccurate property parcel on assessors site) and Carolyn knew exactly who to contact to rectify these issues and was able to find the proper information for me to make the decision to put the offer in and eventually purchase the home. I am so grateful for her help in reaching out to the seller's agent, title company and attorneys for the information we needed. Overall she made the home buying process as stress free as possible and made me feel comfortable with the decisions I was making. Most other realtors probably would have been driven crazy by my indecisiveness and lack of knowledge but Carolyn was happy to educate me on the process and took her time with me. We have worked together twice now on buying a home and once on selling. He is honest, bottom line, and knows what he is doing. He isn't Mr. Salesman, and that's why you should trust him. He isn't going to sell you on something just to make a sale. I have a hard time trusting people who make commission. This is not the case at all with Eric. The Anchorage are affordable condos overlooking the lake and sitting in the middle of a marina. The…read moreviews are good (you can sit on your patio and watch sailboats go by) and the area is fairly quiet (save for some road noise for I-10, depending on the location of your condo). Compared to New Orleans, the rent is very affordable and includes cable. It is fairly easy to get to the city (just off exit 261) and the area (Slidell) is growing. The staff in the office are competent and friendly. I've had a couple minor maintenance issues and they were taken care of very quickly. There are five buildings at the Anchorage, though you can rent condos in only 2 (the other 3 building condos are for sale only). There is a very small fitness center and 4 pools (though the pools are somewhat small). If Yelp allow 1/2 stars, it would warrant 3 1/2.
