For our family it was a struggle deciding on what to do with our property at one point we consider leasing it out but with a history of bad tenants we were scared that we would get stuck in the same rut I really wanted to be in a traditional colonial two-story but I really wanted a detached garage with a large in the ground pool and a large lot I did not want to get a property where I felt that my neighbor could look out the window and reach out and touch me So many properties in the greater New Orleans area or within two or 3 feet of each other which is great for some people but I just wanted my space Also having two dogs makes it a little tricky because my previous neighbors would complain because they barked all the time so I did not want to be a bother to anyone But with all that information it finally worked out and it is very important to tell your real estate agent everything you are truly looking for any property before you start so you do not waste their time and your time I am also glad that I got my preapproval from my lender first because it gave me a good range I approve for a substantial amount but I felt I only wanted to go about 2/3 of that amount I don't want to be one of those people who max out their limit and have to live paycheck to paycheck.
