The receptionist was very nice and listened intently to what I was looking for while I explained my goals and my concerns. I attended a trial class with the coach, Vicky and she is absolutely wonderful. The atmosphere is pumped, supportive and non-judgmental (unlike what I have seen online from other gyms). At least from this particular hour of the class, I am an outlier in the clientele which is a little awkward but I don't feel judged. Everyone is encouraged to do their best and better themselves at their own pace. The coach gives multiple examples of how to do a particular workout and also a goal base line so you can choose what is comfortable for you. The music is quite loud, so I wouldn't recommend this for someone is sensitive to loud noises but other than that I can't see anything wrong with the establishment. I know they have bathrooms and showers but I have not used either of those facilities yet, but I am sure they are also as clean and wonderful as the main floor. I look forward to meeting the other coaches and moving forward with my health journey with this organization.

Let me start by saying that I had previously enjoyed going to The Bar Method for their classes --…read morethey're a great way to stay in shape. That was until the new owner, Lauren Wood, decided to make anyone coming in through ClassPass or Wellhub feel as though they're taking advantage of her by not paying her directly. She emailed to say she planned to leave these platforms and asked me to pay for a membership through her instead. I declined, since I already pay quite a bit for my Wellhub membership, which allows me to attend a variety of classes across different studios. I had booked a class for 9:30 a.m. tomorrow, and at 8:20 p.m. tonight, Lauren canceled it -- because she wanted to "save space" for people who pay her directly. So even though I booked an available class in advance, I was bumped to make room for someone who might pay her a few dollars more. I had a small window to work out tomorrow, and her last-minute cancellation made it impossible for me to find an alternative. Could you even top this kind of horrible customer service? What a joke. Lauren wants to have her cake and eat it too - stay on these platforms to keep the revenue flowing but eject low paying customers from their booked spot if she can fill it with "higher value" clients. Don't worry, Lauren -- I won't be "lowering your standards" by coming back to your studio. I'm so sorry you received such a pittance for my attendance. At this point, I'd rather work out anywhere else. Pure Barre, for example, offers more challenging classes -- and guess what? They're always happy to see me.
