In addition to overlooking the ruin of a Roman wall, there was also swing music playing and dozens of couples dancing, which added to the festive atmosphere. Prices were very reasonable, and it would be fun to share a bunch of small plates with friends. We had The Wagyu Beef Tartare, the Tortilla Espanola, and Papas Bravas, along with wine and beer, and for four of us, it was a little over €40. We certainly got our value! If I were in Tarragona any longer I would go back again and spend another relaxing afternoon.

Because of the reviews we saw online, we knew that El Cable Bar was one place that we simply could not miss. Our bike ride to El Cable was easy. There are plenty of places to lock them up on trees lining the streets leading to the restaurant. When you walk inside, it might be busy, as this is a popular place for people who know about the restaurant. We sat down and were immediately served. Price-wise, everything looks good- not too expensive for drinks, and reasonable for the food. Move any closer to the beach, and I'm certain these prices go up by at least 50% for the same or fewer portions. I happily order patatas bravas, a sirloin and eggplant combo, another eggplant tapas, and fingers de pollo. From the tinto de verano to every last tapas, it was all simple, yet delicious. I would highly recommend this place for anyone visiting Sitges, Spain. It's the perfect way to kickstart your vacation.

(Note: we came during the off season). Both levels of the restaurant were full and there were even some people eating at the bar downstairs. Our waitress recommended the Iberico secret (pork), which was really good. Hubby particularly enjoyed the fried fish. My favorite was the foie gras with quail egg on toast (under the "hot sandwich section"). The English translated menu doesn't quite do the food justice but everything was very yummy. I even broke a wine glass and they were very nice about it. I had initially planned on something fancier for our last meal in Spain but I really enjoyed this. It's also super affordable!
