We were seated inside but they also had a nice outdoor patio with a view of the yacht club on the marina. The patio was crowded on a beautiful sunny day.

We were lucky to find Romantik Hotel Auberge de Campveerse Toren. They had a nicely set up outdoor area with comfortable chairs and umbrellas but inside the hotel & upstairs there was a cozy pub with nice dark woods and lush red & purple velvet chairs The Mr & I scored a table right beside the window with a lovely view towards the water, the docks & passing sailboats Fries with mayo & 2 dark beers were the choice for the snacking & those fries were perfect. Crispy on the outside & tender on the inside. The mayo had a yummy tart quality that paired very well with the fries. The beers were bold, smooth with a slight nutty undertone - perfect fry partner! The room was packed with happy people, celebrating the day & good friendship. This was a wonderful stop!

We had some sandwiches (some cold some warm), tried some local soda, had tea and ended up trying the cakes that were in display and that no one can resist. They were amazing (but nobody could finish them). Great place for families with kids. The employees were great and very nice (even though we didn't speak great Dutch). You can also purchase some teas and other stuff, the place is very neat. I highly recommend it to all that would happen to stop by Middelburg or Vlissingen.
