I didn't need a diagnosis, since I told the dentist that my implant was loose. He decided to take a ct scan, charge me for it and charge me for his false "diagnosis." $290 later.. he told me I need a New crown and wanted me to pay $2900 to return for 2 more visits to "fix" it. I Declined his outrageous treatment plan, knowing my implant was just loose. I waited until Monday with no problems and went to my dentist Dr. John Vartanian (Newport Beach) who did the implant for me. He tightened the screw and I was out of there in 10 minutes for free. I believe SoCal Smiles owes me $290 back for their unnecessary scan and incorrect diagnosis. They were trying to sell me something I didn't need and I'm quite upset about how this was handled when I brought it to their attention. I would go elsewhere and not trust this place with your time or money.

Thank you!

From start to finish, the process took about two years and two months, which was so much faster than he initially projected. That came down to how creative he is. We had actual back-and-forth conversations about different ways to get there, his suggestions, and how we could shave time off without compromising the result. He would show me visual previews of the entire progression. If we went one route, here's what it would look like and how long it would take. If we went another route, here's what would change. I could actually see the options, understand his recommendations, and help pick the direction. He kept me involved throughout the whole process. It was literally a one-of-one experience. And the entire staff is out of this world. These guys truly live up to the name Family Orthodontics. It feels like one giant family, and I cannot say enough great things about them. I was so happy with my experience that I recommended my brother. He got braces with Dr. Dean too, and he's having the same amazing experience. Look at the before-and-after pictures. That transformation means so much to me. I'm beyond grateful, and they have my highest recommendation. Thank you, Dr. Dean. You're epic.

One thing I especially appreciate is how smooth and transparent everything is when it comes to billing. Beyond the quality of their work, everyone at Rafi Dental is warm, caring, and genuinely makes you feel comfortable and taken care of. It's hard to find a dental office where you can trust both the work and the people behind it. We're very happy to have found ours!

I am extremely disappointed and frustrated with the way your office has handled this matter…read more Despite my repeated calls and messages, your office has still failed to provide me with a simple official copy of my $1,350 credit card payment made on July 9, 2026, for my mother's crown treatment. This is a basic payment record that should have been provided promptly upon request. Your continued failure to provide this documentation has seriously damaged my trust in your office. I initially wanted to trust your doctors and staff and believed that the information I was given regarding my mother's treatment and insurance benefits was accurate. However, I now have serious concerns about the information provided to me by your insurance coordinator regarding my mother's benefits. Based on what I was told, we proceeded with the treatment and paid $1,350 out of pocket. If prior authorization or verification with the insurance company was required before beginning treatment, that should have been clearly explained and handled before we proceeded. Instead, I feel that we were given incorrect information and were left responsible for a substantial out-of-pocket payment. What makes this even more concerning is the fact that your office has repeatedly delayed providing the official receipt for that payment. At any professional medical or dental office, a patient should be able to obtain documentation of a payment without repeatedly calling, texting, and following up. This entire experience has been extremely disappointing. The communication from your office has been inconsistent, and I have found the responses from your staff unpleasant and disrespectful. I strongly urge your office to provide me immediately with the complete official receipt/payment record for the $1,350 payment, including the date of payment and a clear description of what the payment was for. After this experience, I cannot recommend your office to others. I expected professionalism, transparency, and accurate information from a dental office entrusted with my mother's care. Unfortunately, that is not what we experienced. This situation has completely undermined my confidence and trust in your office.

I came in asking to see how much it would cost to repair a chip in my tooth. Mind you I came in to ASK, and they said let's run an xray to get a quote. After that they did my screening and charged me $300. Told me that was the fee for the flouride and xrays which weren't covered only my usual cleaning. WHICH NOBODY MENTIONED prior to me sitting down in the chair. It would be ideal to maybe run my insurance and mention to me that these xrays to fix the smallest crack on my tooth were not covered? I did a walk in at a dental place next door for Victoria Nguyen and she handled my problems with ease and avoided charging me any hidden fees. Not only did Dr. Gina beat the other places in price, she is really sweet and understanding. You never feel intimidated asking questions, which I really appreciate since I'm more on the timid side. I ended up getting veneers instead of composite bonding. A lot of places will try to upsell you and have you do 6-8 teeth, but Dr. Gina recommended I only do two teeth since I'm young. She keeps up with modern technology. We did a mock up of the teeth and the veneers are made in a lab. The technology she uses also tells her how much to shave off. My veneers blend seemlessly, not bulky and the color is an exact match. The time I came to try my veneers, I asked for more of a rounded shape, and they sent it back to add more, which I really appreciate. Overall I am highly satisfied and would recommended Dr. Gina for your veneers. Ps: I also got my teeth whitened and did new retainers here. All in one place. :)
