Some of the ones I've tried include the Pineapple Surf, Strawberry Kiwi Breeze, & Pineapple Pure Recharge. I often order "as is" without additional add-ons from the menu, but there's plenty of options including vitamin boosters, protein powders, and more. I also have a vegan coworker who regularly goes in on orders with me & has really liked their vegan berry smoothie. Smoothie along caters to the more active individual and the nutritional content on the majority of their smoothies reflects that. There are lots of delectable concoctions. I particularly order my smoothies sans turbinado or any excess sweetener (beyond fruit/juice). At this particular location the staff is very friendly and efficient. Just your typical Smoothie King; the parking lot at this specific location is smaller than most. Unfortunately, most of the smoothies contain 50-100 carbs per serving so if you are trying to lose weight I would avoid most items on the menu. Even the "Slim-N-Trim" smoothies are packed full of sugar. My former favorite, Angel Food, only has 350 calories, but it has a whooping 84 grams of carbs! Since this recent disturbing discovery I have switched to the Lean Vanilla. I had gotten a drink and had to substitute strawberries for something else because I can't have strawberries. I had asked twice to make sure that the order says no strawberries. I overheard one of the employees say to the other employee (Why didn't she just order the Pineapple one). My order is a Mango strawberry recharge but substitute the strawberries for pineapple. I have gone to multiple smoothie kings in the past and this was the first time I went to this one and also the first time I have ever had a problem with my order. They did fix the drink but with the little "fit" I saw, it just wasn't professional. I had clarified twice before so that they wouldn't mess it up and yet they did. After my long journey to my favorite smoothie shop, I was salivating with anticipation for a large chocolate hulk with peanut butter. To my absolute shock and horror, I was greeted at the door by an employee who told me they "were closing early because they hadn't had a customer in an hour". I said your store hours online say you're open til 9. She said yes but sorry she already cleaned the blender because there hadn't been a customer. I missed lunch and was running late for my next appointment. Smoothie King to the rescue! The parking at this location is kind of tight, probably because it is off of Kennedy Boulevard. It was raining when I went so I easily found a spot right in front. The staff seemed a bit on the apathetic side. I can't put my finger on it, they weren't bad, they weren't good, they were just there. I think if there was a robot that didn't talk and could take an order and fill an order, it would provide the same level of service that I received that day. The three young men did their jobs, but that was it, not one iota more. The smoothie I got was a large, which was huge, and it was very tasty. It also accomplish the goal holding me over until a late dinner that evening. Based on the ingredients listed on the board, I feel like this was a good healthy alternative for lunch. The large smoothie cost me a little more than $8, which seemed a bit on the high side, but because the drink was so big, and because I normally don't go here, I'm not really sure if it's the norm or not. This isn't really a sit down and dying type establishment, so if you are in the need of a smoothie, this place isn't too bad. I am a big fan of Smoothie King. I love the variety of fruit smoothies they offer and, even better, I can watch them add chunks of real frozen fruit rather than liquefied fruit and who knows what else. Every item on the menu has calorie counts posted for each size so you can make smart choices about what you're eating. Too many places offer "healthy" smoothies that taste great but caloricaly are liquid Big Macs. My go-to flavors include the Light & Fluffy - four ingredients, all of which I can pronounce (being strawberries, banana, orange juice, and turbinado). The Angel Food has a base of banana and strawberry as well but adds vanilla and some protein powder for a slightly more substantial drink. I am not sure the add-ins or blends with "immune boosters" or caffeine for energy really work, but I always feel a boost when I get one of these on a day I feel under the weather. This is my nearest location from work and while there are always at least 4 or 5 other people there when I visit, I've never had a terribly long wait. Quick trip out of the office and I can head back to my day with a fruit-packed "Liquid Lunch" that will keep my tummy happy, give me some needed vitamins, and is easy to sip during busy afternoons.
