I was honestly about to give this place a five star review because I've never had a problem at this Smoothie King. Unfortunately they earned the three stars today. I love getting the açai bowls, especially the go-go Goji crunch, they are delicious. Unfortunately, when they are seemingly out of fresh fruit, they use the nasssssty Smoothie fruit on top of these bowls. I've had it happen to me at other smoothie kings and tropical smoothies but unfortunately, it finally happened to me here at my local location. If you were out of fresh fruit for these bowls, please let the customer know. You can't tell me you want to eat a bowl with fruit that isn't fresh, right? Service was friendly, even though they didn't tell me they were out of fresh fruit. Typically the service here is friendly. This smoothie king has the most seating I've seen compared to any other, which is very nice. Most seem to be takeout style only with one to two chairs. read more

First off I want to say thank you to the staff who was super patient and helped answer any questions I had. Second I hate that there isn't a smoothie king around Boston so if you see this PLEASE OPEN ONE UP HERE. It's a great place to go for a post-workout protein shake. Wow, $20 for two smoothies. Chick filet is now cheaper to eat at. Problem is that if I eat at chick filet I will die within two years because I have cholesterol problem Since they say I cant take my money with me to heaven then I will stay with smoothie king If I lose my current job I will have to work at smoothie king in order to extend my life to full value. read more

Normally I have a good experience here but today the staff I haven't done business with before made it a horrible experience. The young woman working there operating the register and making orders made everyones smoothies and smoothie bowls using the same gloves she handles cash with! I watched her take cash, give change, then grab and cut fruit and put the all the chopped peeled bananas and other fruit in the bowls with the same gloves without a care... So disgusting! Also, she and the lady manager also refused to refund me the 10% Tuesday discount on my order for Crunch members that they forgot to enter, even before they started making the order. The cashier said she didn't know how to refund it and the manager came out and said "it's not worth my time to refund the 10% since it would only be such a small discount anyways..." ...Really??? Keep the 10%, I'll never come back here. It's turned into the nasty unsanitary conditions of a low budget McDonnalds... so gross. read more

Deserves A Better Rating Look, it's a Smoothie King. If you walk in expecting top notch service and the greatest smoothie you've ever had, then you're creating your own unrealistic expectations. I walk in, order my Acai Adventure, and I walk out happy. The staff is usually friendly here, and every time I've been here, my smoothie is made consistently the same way. The UTC location makes the absolute worst smoothies ever by the way so I appreciate the little things. There's nothing wrong with this location. Several visits and I've never had an issue. read more

Products are good, how can it not be it's a franchise. But what a bunch of thunderclouds working there. You'd think they're being forced to work there. Been in there a few times and each time the attitudes are terrible. No basic communication, just sit at the register looking at you until you speak. I don't get how chick fila can somehow hire teenagers with common courtesy yet everywhere else is this level of service. read more

Omg! This place is amazing, I went there a couple days ago...AND WOW! There's smoothies r so good! But I had one Probleme... the strawberry smoothie was melted so it tasted like lemonade! I went in 5 min before it closes because I saw a couple of people at the register... since it's not sit down restaurant, I didn't think it would be a big deal to make a smoothie... girl at the register said because they will be closing in 5 min, they would only have time to make their 3 smoothies before then gave that look "sorry, but you have to leave". Excuse me, it's still open AND I was already in the line 5 min before they close... I was not knocking at their at 9pm asking for them to make me a smoothie ... I understand they want to go home, but when you work a 12 hours shift in the hospital, I don't think staying 5 min (not even that) after their time to close should be a big deal when you are in the food service ... where's the costumer service!?? Pretty solid. This was my first time visiting a smoothie king so didn't really know what to expect I'm used to making my smoothies and milkshakes and what not at home but since I was at the gym next-door I decided to try it. I had no idea what to expect and I had no idea what to order but the staff was really good at explaining everything and suggesting good smoothie. They have lots of options and different ways to customize your shake I'm assuming this is normal but like I said I've never been to one. The smoothie was really good and they made it pretty quickly I was in and out of the place within five minutes and that time is including me asking 10,000 questions. They do have an app and rewards program I believe but I didn't join. I chose the Lean 1 strawberry which is just a basic shake. Will be returning to check out other flavors. read more

I've been to every smoothie king in the area and this is one of two stores (the other is at the mall at UTC) that I won't revisit. The inconsistency of the stores leaves something to be desired. At least at McDonald's I get a consistent level of crap. I'll just have to wait until I'm in the right area to enjoy a smoothie. Thanks for a bad experience. read more

IF, and that's a big if, I go to Smoothie King again, it will NOT be this location. The girl has a permanent scowl on her face and simply does not smile. I could accept that IF, and that's NOT such a big if, the service was good, which it is NOT. On 2 separate occasions, I ordered a smoothie substituting OUT strawberries and instead put in banana. Both times she read it back to me and explained it and it was correct but by the time she went to make it, she forgot about it all together. THEN, on both occasions, she tries to deny it and tells me (well, barks at me) that she did it right but just to make me happy she'll re-make it. Why would she offer to re-make it BOTH times if she did it right in the first place?? Because she KNEW she didn't, that's why! Lo and behold when she made it the proper way, it was an entirely different color, which is what I noticed in the first place. Then she REFUSED to admit that she had made the mistake, in both cases. Upon leaving today, I waited for the place to clear out so as not to make a scene but I gave her a little speech about customer service. She. Was. Not. Having it!!! Both she and another girl, presumably a manager of some sort, got defensive, denied everything I was saying and simply refused to take any responsibility for the mistake and the attitude that constantly comes from that girl. I will NOT go back and I will share this with all of my friends at the Crunch fitness right next door. Very frustrating........ read more

The service at this Smoothie King #1150 was horrible! The person behind the counter was incompetent and, when he didn't know an answer, just made one up and then we were told something different by the other employee. I visit Smoothie King often but will never visit this one again. read more
