The smoothies are always great but the employees and the energy they give are truly amazing. Today the gal Soph made my drinks and wrote little messages on them and after seeing mine I broke down in tears. She wrote never give up. I can't explain how much that meant to me after recently losing someone to suicide. I know it may seem silly or not needed but those little messages can really make an impact on someone's life. So I wanted to say I'm so thankful she wrote them today and I'm glad the company itself is so supportive to healthy minds and bodies. We need more companies and people like that read more

Damien D was fantastic and working so hard, by himself with a slammed store. His customer service was great and he kept apologizing. My son and I waited 30 mins in line just to place our order. When I thanked him for his help I also asked if someone called out sick for him to be in such an untenable situation...he said no, that the owner manager scheduled him by himself on purpose. Unreal. This location needs a manager or owner upgrade that puts the client and their employees experience as a priority. The place was empty. There's one female employee ignores me until I start speaking to her. She's going about her Business making smoothies (maybe for an online order) and tells me she'll be with me ...she puts the smoothies on the blender walks away somewhere to the back my order was never taken. I stopped in on Saturday morning and noticed on their website that they are offering curbside at this location. Score! I didn't want to drive out of the way to go to a drive thru location and I was in a hurry. Online ordering was a breeze. I selected my time for pickup, parked in the curbside designated spot and called the store to let them know I arrived. My shake was cold and delicious. This store has gone down hill since they hired new management. I asked an employee why it smelled like feet in the store for the past couple of weeks and another customer in line behind me agreed that the store had indeed started to smell really nasty lately. My smoothie bowl was half filled and I paid 14 dollars only to be disappointed. I asked for Rosa the manager and was informed she didn't work for the store anymore. Who ever took her spot is hiring family and friends cause they were all talking amongst each other and too engaged in conversation for me to even say more. Owner needs to reevaluate their business choice and get the old manager back. Rosa made the best smoothie bowl ever. My main concern is when making my açaí bowl, the associate used her bare hands to assembling and arranging the fruit in my açaí bowl. I did not feel comfortable eating it after seeing that. Health and safety issue if the employees don't have access to gloves or a training issue if they aren't using them. read more

My 7yr old daughter is a smoothie king junkie. She loves the strawberry blugurt from the online kids menu. The online menu has more options than are listed in-store so I would recommend checking there first before you arrive. I'm a fan of the vegan mango kale. The add sugar to several of their smoothies unless you ask for unsweetened. Sort of defeats the purpose of using naturally sweet fruits. But that may not bother everyone. It's currently 7:19 and there is no one inside , I tried calling 3 times I thought maybe it would transfer to a main customer service that way y'all could apologize for inconvenience and save me the trip to going there. It's disappointing that the voicemail hasn't been set up either. 10 minutes late on a rainy day fine is okay, but there was another individual who was outside in the rain checking to see if anyone is inside. She saved me the trip of getting poured on. Are your hours 7? On weekdays or no ? I've been coming to this smoothie king for probably 8 months. I've been a regular and come to this store about 3-4 times a week. I always get their Go-Go-Goji crunch açaí bowl. Unfortunately I had the experience yesterday of placing an online order through the app getting this açaí bowl. The store calls and says that they are out of strawberries and if I wanted anything else in my açaí bowl. I said no thank you, I only get strawberries and if I could just get a refund. She had no knowledge of how to do this or how to direct me in getting this resolved. She told me to go to the app and do it there. I go to the app and there's no number or cancel order on my app. I call back and she says the manager won't answer and she wrote down my name and number. The manager still has not contacted me. I just want to say I paid for something through the app and did not get anything or was offered to get anything else on the menu. The manager has not contacted me and the lady working did not know how any costumer service. I'm very sad because I love this smoothie king and their açaí bowls. This place has always had fast l and accurate service. However, with this experience it has made it hard to want to be back. I've been going to smoothie king since I was a young teen and have slowly watched all the locations disappear. There were only two locations I have been going to. La frontera and 24th. All of a sudden these new locations started popping up so I figured awesome I can have my favorites even closer to home. Only to be let down about every time I've gone, even the location off of university . I don't know what it is they're using in the drinks I get but the quality isn't good. Does not make me want to keep going to smoothie king waisting money on a few sips. And most of the time the girl that's still working there somehow, doesn't even fill the cup up all the way. A 32oz MR smoothie should not feel much lighter compared to a 32oz fruit smoothie. Advice, change the ingredient supplier or bring someone from another store to train the employees. Update:: went there again on 03/26/18 New employees but chocolate hulk was still awful and not blended enough. Go to the William canon location and learn from him!!! Perfect blends! I've gone to this location maybe a handful of times. I don't recall the girls name who works behind the counter but she always has a "I don't want to be here" kind of attitude. She has never been rude just not friendly at all. When the employee can't greet the customer as soon as they walk in thats an issue for me. Exceptional Customer service is a must especially when you only have ONE customer in the store. If you don't like talking/greeting customers maybe you shouldn't be dealing with customers all day. I have been to this location several times only because it is the only Smoothie King close to my house. Even though it doesn't have a drive thru, I still go because it is close, but I might not go anymore. Every time I have been here the customer service is poor. All of the employees seem as if they don't want to be here, but today takes the cake. I order my drink and the drink is literally spilling out and dripping on the side of the cup. The rep says, I ended up going over on your drink but we have napkins on the counter near the straws. So I, the patron, is supposed to clean up what you are giving me? Wow. I got to get the napkins and guess what, no napkins to be found in the dispenser. I left in disgust at the lack of concern for customer service and the lack of detail in presentation. If I could give this store a ranking lower than 1 I would because it is TRASH. read more

On Saturday, October 30th, I showed up with my daughter between 3-4 pm. I had not been to SK in a while so I was not aware how they ran their show. I mean, it shouldn't be that difficult, right? Pulled up to place my order and the cashier seemed dumbfounded when I asked if they had a smoothie I saw advertised on social media. She replied with, "I don't know." (She could have said, "I'm not sure, but let me find out for you.") I thought ok. Just give me the closest thing to it. The customer behind me orders. I'm waiting and waiting. They get one of their smoothies before we ever get ours. I asked the young man making the smoothies which one he was making and again, no clue. A third person (young African American woman) steps in and asked, "What?", in a not so pleasant tone. I replied calmly and nicely too, that I just wanted to know what smoothie he was making and again, she answered me in a very rude tone. They called out a few smoothies, but I could not hear with the blenders in the background and nobody was stepping up to 'grab' anything. I accidentally 'grabbed' one of them. And asked whether it was mine. Again, answered me in a rude tone. (same young lady). She replied, "Yours was Angel Food!" I said, "I'm sorry I couldn't hear you." She then replied, "Well you shouldn't have 'grabbed' it!" in the rudest tone ever. I kept my cool but did say, "The only reason I asked was because I ordered before the people behind me and I couldn't hear you." Her sarcastic response, "Yea, ok!" And yes I know they have labels on the cups, but as I stated, it was loud and nobody stepped up, and by the time I knew it I had already 'grabbed' the other customer's (who ordered after me) smoothie. Now, am I wrong for believing that I was treated like shit? Was the young lady having a bad day? Who knows. REGARDLESS! Nobody deserves to be greeted or treated with such rudeness and/or disrespect. Perhaps SK should consider spending more time training their employees on customer because that was pretty shitty service on that Saturday, October 30th. (3-4pm). I will definitely not be returning to SK and neither will any of my fellow coworkers at RRISD, especially after this unpleasant experience. read more
