I've given up going through the drive thru. No matter what time of day, I park in front of The Bookworm and walk around the corner. Saves me from being stuck in the parking lot. No issues with my first visit to smoothie king! I stopped in after a nail appointment without checking the menu first. The cashier was really nice and helpful in navigating the menu. I told her I usually like strawberries and wanted some protein so she showed me those options. Once I ordered, she assured me if I didn't like it then she could make me something else. I ended up getting the gladiator with strawberries and it was the perfect amount of fruity and some sweet without it being too sweet. Plus, having a few greens in there made me feel better about drinking my lunch. I will return to try some more options! read more

Great product but the fact that it can take me more than 30 minutes of waiting in the drive-thru (in a very cramped parking lot) just to get a smoothie is an obvious huge flaw in this business and a reason I'll typically go to juice stop or any other smoothie place before here. I realize it is a Saturday afternoon and it's finally nice outside, but the fact that I just waited for 46(!!!) minutes for one smoothie on my Saturday afternoon is just incredibly annoying and frustrating. The fact that I can't even stop here over my lunch break because it will take too long and there's no guarantee I'll be back to work within 30 minutes is just ridiculous to me.... and that's just for a smoothie, not actual food. Their prices are higher than the other smoothie place down the street, but the other one doesn't have a drive thru, and that makes a huge difference. There are tons of creative options in their menu. In spite of living closer to a couple of Juice Stops, I go the extra mile to Smoothie King! They have the loveliest staff, for one thing. Even if they were serving cat diarrhea, I'd toss my cup and leave them three stars anyway. I don't know what laboratory in which they make these friendly, youthful, wholesome employees, but hey, it's good branding. I feel that by buying their product, I too will not be a miserable piece of shit. And I'm not, at least for the duration of my smoothie. This Smoothie King is so fresh and so clean that thinking of it makes Vivaldi's "La Primavera" play in my head. Like many chains, they have nutritional information for all their smoothies, and they have diverse options. There's stuff if you're watching your weight. There's stuff if you're trying to bulk up. They're stuff if you need an energy boost. There's stuff if you're hungover. There's stuff if you're worried that you will die alone (Almond Mocha Protein, my personal favorite.) They've got it all. My only complaint, and this is an issue germane to Smoothie King as whole and not this location, is the damned Styrofoam cups. I love that this smoothie king has a drive thru. It's conveinient and helpful when you don't have time to go inside. Each time I've been here my order has always been correct and the employees are kind and friendly. The only thing I was disappointed in is that I was unable to use my own cup for my drink. I don't understand why and I feel like businesses, like Smoothie King, should encourage customers who volunteer their own cup, to continue to do so. It promotes a reduction of waste in our environment, it would eventually save on costs to the businesses, and it would be an eco friendly establishment not just for the ingredients they use in their smoothies but in all aspects. If they choose to avoid using a customer's own medium to drink their smoothie I suggest that the company as a whole or this particular location look into their own jars or cups as an alternative for people who are doing their best to reduce waste in our already plastic ridden planet. read more

Love Smoothie King. Don't get me wrong. I just am turned off by this location. Went there 13 minutes before close, which I admit sucks but I was not aware of the closing time until I walked up to the door and it was locked with a sign saying the lobby closed an hour before the drive thru. There was a younger girl cleaning things inside with a headset still on. I took that as a sign that we were good to go to have our late night health snack. We got back in our car to go to the drive-thru and had a recording that said they were closed. Sat there for a few more seconds and nothing else. Stick to closing times! My absolute favorite smoothie place in Omaha! This review is coming from a pregnant lady and with that in mind I must admit that smoothies have been my number one craving so smoothie king and I have become very close these last few months. I have enjoyed working my way through smoothie kings menu and I've never been disappointed. The store itself is very clean and bright. The staff is always very kind and speedy in making the orders. And they have a drive through which is nice when the weather acting up or if you are in a hurry. I know that smoothie king is also known for their meal replacement shakes which I have ordered just because they sound delicious and I must admit I would swap a meal out for one of those shakes any day! My current favorite shakes/smoothies overall are Banana Berry treat and Hulk. Banana Berry Treat is bananas, strawberries, raspberry sorbet, vanilla protein powder and turbinado and is a smoothie. The Hulk is a shake that contains butter pecan ice cream, protein power, banana, weight gainer and a couple other ingredients I cannot remember off the top of my head but VERY indulgent. I cannot wait to continue to make my way through the rest of their menu! Also another added bonus is that smoothie king participates in Tagg an app that allows you to give back to charity just by making a purchase.
