Tried the Power Meal Slim Chocolate with banana and spinach--definitely nutritious, but the flavor just wasn't for me. I'm super sensitive to taste and smell, and I probably should've known better than to skip something like peanut butter to help mask that classic protein powder flavor. Avid Smoothie King customer and constantly disappointed in this location. Every six months I give it another try and clearly that experiment is over. The employees clearly despise what they do and have no concept of time management. Orders take abnormally long and 50/50 if they're even right. I would suggest saving yourself some headaches and find a local smoothie place to support, even if it's a couple dollars more. read more

This location looks really rough on the outside. It's the first location that I've seen without a drive-through. It's old-school. They hand out a coupon for your next visit at this location, nice. The service isn't bad, just a bit slower than others I have been to in MI or OH. They do at least let you use the restroom here at least. They would do better to get a location with a drive through. The apple ginger spinach smoothie is refreshing and delicious. It's consistently the same as every location. It's unbelievable how slow and unprofessional this location is. The first few times I physically came in the tickets every single time we're out of order and I literally had families of 5 and people who came in after me/ordered after me get their smoothie first. Then I downloaded the app and ordered ahead. Twice now I have ordered a minimum of 30 minutes ahead of time, showed up asked where my smoothie was told it was not made yet, and saw people stand in line, then order, then have theirs made first. Management needs more employees or to fix this issue. Just look at your reviews. I will now be going up the street to a faster and more efficient proper way of ordering smoothie place. read more

There was only one other customer there when I walked in. The employee took both our orders. Then said he had to use the restroom. Was in the bathroom for 10 minutes. Someone walked in while he was in the bathroom. After his long bathroom break he took that customers order. Then made all the smoothies at the same time. Made two of them incorrectly. We are from the upstate and frequent the Smoothie Kings up there on a weekly basis. While visiting Mt. Pleasant for a soccer tournament, and decided to get Smoothie King between games. This location had one, lazy kid working. He was slow and trying to take orders while making smoothies. Three girls walked in after us, and he offered them 25% discount if they all ordered the same thing. Common sense would say, he was being lazy and didn't want make three different smoothies. Right behind them was a dad and his son, and he told them that his system was down and he couldn't take orders because he was being lazy. If all of your employees have that same work ethic, you won't have any returning customers. read more

My coworker asked if I wanted to ride along to here so she could get a smoothie. I was ready to take a 15 so I said yes. Before leaving I checked my SaveAround coupon app to see if I had any to offer her and I did. The coupon was for a BYGO any size. I told her I'd never had one before and she offered to buy. Once we walked in and looked at the menu I felt a bit overwhelmed due to the amount of different options there was. I told her what flavor I was in the mood for and between her and the Smoothie King employee they found got me to the right one. I got a peanut butter with chocolate and nuts. It didn't take very long to get made and once I tried it, it was delicious! The flavors were just what I was wanting and they all stood out, not one flavor overpowered another. I felt like I was having a milkshake but it was much better for me. I can't wait to go back and try something else! read more

I didn't realize that Smoothie King fostered more to the workout crowd until I walked in and saw the shakes organized the same way they are at the gym. I really just wanted a strawberry banana smoothie and got a little overwhelmed by the options. I ended up with the Nutty Super Grain and ordered a medium... which was 32 oz. WAY more than I needed, but it was good. It was a bit expensive but tasted good. I don't know if I'll be returning here on a regular basis but will definitely order a small if/when I return. read more

I considered throwing my smoothie in the garbage on my way out. I had never been to a Smoothie King before but I figured I could get some resemblance of a healthy smoothie here. On my way back from West Ashley I started thinking I could go for some refreshing fruits and maybe veggies to counteract what I had put into my body the night before. I should have got off at Calhoun and went to Dellz but my brain was still functioning at 75 percent so it was too late, I was already on the bridge to Mt P. I knew Tasi was closed on Sunday so I decided to try this place. I walked in and started looking over the menu. After not really finding what I was looking for I asked if they had any green smoothies. The girl said they have a green tea smoothie when the other guy behind the counter quickly corrected her saying that I was looking for something with vegetables in it such as kale or spinach. They let me know that they don't really do those types of smoothies and recommended I go to Tasi. To which I replied that they were closed. This is when I should have left. I figured since I was already there and the only customer in sight, I would suck it up and order something. The Acai Adventure was the one I decided on. Once I saw them squirting flavor shots into in like a french vanilla coffee at dunkins I knew this wasn't going to be good. I get to the counter to pay and was shocked twice. Once by the fact that a medium smoothie was almost $8 after tax and then again when I saw this giant cup coming my way. The medium must be a 32 oz Styrofoam cup. The large is even bigger - insane! It tasted like artificially flavored frozen sugar water... gross. I didn't want to be rude because the workers were actually very nice, so I took the smoothie with me instead of discarding it that very moment. They have the calorie content listed inside but I didn't pay too much attention. It's good I didn't drink that thing because they are loaded with nothing with garbage. The Hulk Strawberry has 1928 calories in it - that's appalling! You can go to McDonald's and get a Double Quarter Pounder with Cheese, a large Fry, AND a large Coke and that is 1550 calories total. The staff were attentive and helpful, however the smoothies didn't taste well blended. My friend got a drink and he couldn't stand it, and ended up giving it to someone else. My advice would be for them to blend the smoothie more or to put more flavor into them. read more

After waiting in line (only one person working), we were pretty disappointed to hear the worker tell us, "Oh sorry, that's actually just a $2 off coupon". I pointed out that it said Buy One Get One Free (BOGO) on it to which the reply was, "Yea, I'm sorry the marketing guy made a mistake". When we first went to this we must have got lucky not only were they opened there were two people working. Ever since then they were either closed when they advertise to be open or very slow with one person working. It's a shame because this is the closet location to us but they have the worst service. We always have to call ahead to see if they are even open before we risk it. I've gone to the downtown location and had much better service. I am really getting annoyed the preparer puts too much ice in the smoothie,presumably so it takes a few seconds longer to pour the smoothie into the cup. Too much ice and much of my smoothie gets poured down the sink leaving me with a watered down product and undervalued. They seem understaffed and slow.. Smoothie was awful, taste was like just ice. I like to do my best to be healthy and work out as much as I can. I try to eat healthy but I tend to splurge...a lot. Who does love a sweet treat?! Well Smoothie King was the perfect stop on a hot afternoon full of errands. There are so many option you many never in out! On days were I feel like I need something extra for the gym or a boost after they have protein shakes. If your feeling fruity, I recommend getting one of the mango options! My girls and I love to check out smoothie places. We were out shopping on a Saturday and saw Smoothie King. Never having been to one before we had to check it out. I would say that the prices are average for smoothies that are considered all natural ingredients. What I didn't care for was the 'added' ingredients. I didn't know that it was supposed to be a meal replacement and I was definitely turned off by that. I don't want added ingredients that I don't know what they are. I also didn't care for the added sugar. At least there was an option to remove that. They tasted okay but it is not something that I would go back to. I will stick to my favorite when a smoothie is called for. read more

To the ownership/management here is a novel idea, on a Saturday its usually pretty busy. Best to staff with more than just one pour soul who visibly looks like they want to walk off a cliff with 6 people in line. There is no reason for me to have to see the same person at two different registers and have the smoothies made and just waitin for people to pay. I hate to give a negative review, but this place needs a serious overhaul. I usually get the low carb smoothie because I watch my sugar intake and I've had someone just make me a regular smoothie because they were out of the flavor that I wanted. They lied to me and told me it was low carb. It was extremely disappointing. I've gone there on numerous occasions because it's the only place I can get a low carb smoothie and when certain people are working, I just turn around and leave because they never make the smoothie right. Someone in management needs to sit these employees down and tell them to follow the instructions that are given from corporate so everything is consistent. read more
