This is my go to smoothie spot when I'm near Brandywine Commons. You can't go wrong with smoothie king. They have traditional smoothies, vegan smoothies, and fun smoothies that you can play around and add or remove ingredients from. Their Covid operations are smooth. Unfortunately you can't order anymore in the store, but I'm certain you can call to place an order, or do like I do and order from the app. If you choose to do the latter, your order is ready within the timeframe they give you; I think it's like 10 minutes. As soon as you walk in you just say the name of the order or more specifically what you ordered and they have it ready for you. They have never been late and I've got about five times since Covid. I have been a smoothie king customer for about 10 years now. I go to LA fitness in Jensen and pass by on my way home so I stop five days a week as I'm heading home from the gym. I have always had awesome experiences there with the staff. The smoothies are amazing. BUT!! The last time I went in, was about a week ago. There were three staff members there as I walked in, they were all joking and talking with each other. I stood in front of the counter for five minutes, without a hello or even give us one moment, we will be right with you . I spoke up and said. "Hello? Do you guys see me here?! They all started chuckling, and the oldest one, who was about 17, 18 years old said "chill man we'll be right with you". I said " that's OK I'm going to leave" He said "ok good" I told them that I will not be coming back, again ha said "GOOD!" Very loud, and they all started laughing again. The other day we ordered three smoothies in the drive thru, and to say the least, the wait time made for a lackluster experience. The classic stereotype for fast food, meaning it's anything but fast, applies here. There was only one car in front of us. After ordering, we waited 15 minutes to receive and pay for our smoothies. No one greeted us until the time came. My usual Immune Builder Orange smoothie lacked the punch of fruit I'm accustomed to from SK. It was very handed on the almond milk. The young man at the window was very rude. He handed me the smoothie and when I asked for a straw he said he would give them to me in a minute and then pretty much threw them out the window. I am just amazed at the rudeness of the young man. I had slept on smoothie king for so long until one of my friends suggested we go there. I walk inside for the first time and it was nothing I had Imagined. They have really good protein powders and supplements for sale along with a huge board of smoothies to choose from. I tried the gladiator which is really good and I love that you get to pick two fruits or veggies of choice to add. So frustrating! My kid had wisdom teeth extracted last minute, actively bleeding, and starving. "Lexus" was not only NO help but actually a hindrance to trying to get a smoothie that was healthy and high in calories without any small particles like nuts. She gave me bad info ("None of our smoothies have small particles"), didn't label our 3 smoothies, and rushed me constantly even though there was no one behind us in the drive-through. We ended up with one horrible tasting smoothie, one with small particles that could get in the sutures, and a low calorie one with no protein. Had to find something else for my daughter to consume after spending my time and ~$20. Someone please train her how to actually HELP costumers. The girl at the window took my order in and obviously they try to upsell you on vitamins probiotics and things like that which is understandable we all try to increase our margins wherever we can. The only thing I can say about the way they do business is they need to shorten it up a little bit because they literally spend 10 minutes trying to upsell you on to something else which is a waste of my time. So I get the smoothie and on my first sip it was like drinking straight salt water and sugar mixed. Besides they're being fruit or vegetables in the drink the drinks are nowhere near healthy and and it's definitely missed leading to anyone that thinks they are.
