They have made many positive changes here over last few months. I went in today and ordered a smoothie as a meal replacement. The employees were eager to answer questions. My smoothie was great and only 250 calories! It wasn't too heavy on the ice. I received great customer service. They have made a lot of upgrades in the store as well as new personnel. The menu is clearer. You can see behind the counter as they construct your smoothie. Everything looks clean. The ingredients look fresh. I like this place! read more

This is the most unprofessional location around. When I went in there were 2 younger boys working who were both using racial slurs to each other making me very uncomfortable. This continues my whole time in the building. I proceeded to order and added 2 extra things to my smoothie which I paid for but did not receive. When I told them it wasn't right they didn't see concerned or offer to remake. While I was ordering an employee from behind the counter asked the cashier to cancel my order and put his first. As a person actively involved in management throughout franchisees I know that every purchase counts and is a customer plays a role in the overall sales because a good experience creates multiple purchases and a negative experience cuts those purchases out. When you come into a place 10 minutes before they close it is annoying to the workers, yes, but they should still service that customer because it's a sale none the less. They shouldn't shoo them out and instantly lock the door after they walk out the store. Now that's just one sale, but if they say "we already cleaned everything", meaning they started closing everything even before 10 minutes prior to close, to multiple consumers over multiple periods of times, because this seemed like routine to them. Those ten to thirty minutes they don't allow any customers in not only loses sales for that one period but it loses sales that could've continued over time. It would've been different if it was an apologetic "sorry, unfortunately we've closed", which by the way is still wrong, but instead it was a "we're closed". I replied with "Oh, it says you close at 9pm?" To which I got a "we've already cleaned everything". No apologies to the customer and no empathy was received. A lot of times I chalk poor customer service up to ignorant teens who just need to grow up. Not sure if this should be chopped up to ignorant teens or ill trained employees either way I would not visit this location again. I have been in this location several times recently and there is never any one present who could be a manager. They all seem to be very young, disinterested and violating many safety precautions. They are adamant about all visitors wearing a mask and they don't mind confronting and even being ugly with the customers about the mask wearing yet they wear the same nasty gloves to accept cash and go to the back retrieve supplies and continue to make smoothies. Absolutely disgusting! It's amazing to me what people see as important. Common handwashing techniques used to be so important in the restaurant and food service industry but now with the push to wear a mask all that has gone to the wayside so that a customer wears a mask but then the customer doesn't pay attention that the employees stopped washing your hands. What an upside down world we live in. I can also say other things about my visit but I will leave it with this, when I logged into Yelp to leave a review I noticed that no one has claimed this business or manages this so I feel like this will fall on deaf ears. Went into the store with a buy a 32oz smoothie get a 20oz smoothie free coupon. The gentleman behind the counter stated he could not use it because their "coupon" system was down. However, he was still able to use my credit card for payment. When I asked can you just charge me for the 32oz, keep the coupon b/c it clearly states the 20oz was free he said no and that his manager was not there. I believe he denied my coupon and gave me terrible service because I am Caucasian and he was Africa American. He was extremely rude and unprofessional. I will NEVER visit this Smoothie King EVER again. I would suggest to stay away from this location. Worse service - everytime you go there, 1 person is working it seems at the busiest times like a Sat. afternoon or when they ran a special on a breakfast smoothie. They have call orders that need to be made & they can take your order eventually but then you wait till all the call in orders are made rather the people are there or not and if you call in you'll wait just as long, especially to check out.
