Since I'm old,(yep, I'm 63), stopping for a smoothie just isn't my thing. Well, my wonderful Yelp friends, it is now! This Smoothie King is new, just opened. My first time in I got the Banana Berry Treat. Oh my gosh, I'm hooked! So good, so sweet, and oops, too many calories! That's ok, once or twice a week won't hurt, if you don't tell! Friday is any medium for $5. That's a deal if you know about it. I didn't. I went in on Friday and ordered a small for $4.89. I paid and got back in my truck. Right there in front of me is the $5 Friday sign. I could have got a medium for 11 cents more, but she didn't bother to tell me that. That's poor customer service. Why have a special if you don't tell people about it. But that's ok, I know now. Other than that, service has been great. The Peach Slice Plus was ok, but I'll stick with strawberry and banana. This drive thru is a NIGHTMARE. Every time I've been here i sit in line for at least a 20min. It's ridiculous. They have given me the wrong order in the past in which i called them about and they let me come back to get a free drink which is nice. I think they're maybe short staffed, but it's hard not to be upset about sitting so long in a drive thru. read more

I'm not sure if there was a manager on sight with this particular crew today but these kids (clearly teenagers) thought it was ok to give me a premade frozen açaí bowl and still made me wait to receive it. I've ordered the same bowl several times from the company and this is the first time this happened. Clearly the kids deliberately pulled this and thought I would be ok with it when it should have been made fresh to begin with. Unacceptable behavior and work ethic and they had nothing to say when I had them actually do my order. Save your money and go somewhere else unless you want lazy kids to have you wait and give you something that was probably sitting in the freezer for awhile. We got kids drinks Lil Angel and Choc-A-Laka and the Peach Slice Plus smoothie. I had ample time to watch how the line works in making drinks. For having just opened they really had it under control for the smoothie assembly line. A few drinks looked thick and spilled but the employees were quick to make a new one and clean the mess. The place was packed with all ages, anxiously awaiting a smoothie from the new place in town! By the time our drinks were ready we had loads of time to get our expectations raised. I must say, they did not disappoint! All our smoothies were delicious! The ONLY reason I give four stars is because of what I saw occur with the customer before me. She was handed her smoothie and told the employee it was supposed to be a larger size, she showed them her receipt. The employee took the drink, went and got the blender out of the SINK and poured the rest of the smoothie from the blender, along with the rest of the smoothie from the smaller cup, into a larger cup. The larger cup wasn't quite full and the look on the customers face showed she wasn't totally satisfied by this. I personally would have asked for a new drink, who knows what else was in the dirty sink with the blender. read more

Awesome Smoothies, so good almost makes you forget that it's actually good for you, I had the coffee high protein taste real good, my wife had the Gladiator with peanut butter and bananas. Staff very friendly and knowledgeable. But if you haven't been here make sure look at their menu on website or you will be here for awhile lookin at your choices. This Smoothie King location was very clean and welcoming. 3. Jaclyn's smoothie recommendation was exactly what I needed to purchase. 4. The entire staff was working diligently and all were very pleasant. 5. A short time later I received a phone call from Trachers' Credit. An amazing miracle occurred. I was called by Justine from Teachers' Credit to tell me the cashier at Smoothie King had my billfold I had left at the register. 6. Thank God for wonderfully honest, Jaclyn, and her boss, who instructed her on what to do when that happens. They helped an absent minded senior citizen that would still be looking for her billfold! So many choices! I got the Caribbean Way smoothie and absolutely loved it. The service was quick and the server was friendly and quick. The only complaint I have isn't even for the smoothie but the speaker box. The volume was too low so I had to strain a bit to hear it but other than that, this will be my new smoothie spot. read more

Closed at 7 pm due to roads conditions. Roads have been clear for hours. Went through drive thru no response of "We are closed". Drove to the front of the store and employee walked to the door and locked it as not just one vehicle pulled up but two. Next time inform your customers with a note or the Courtesy of letting the know you have closed early. With the technology of today updating the website for hours would be helpful. read more

I have always been a fan of smoothie king in my hometown and go there quite often, however the smoothie king in Abilene is not run to the same standards as most smoothie kings. I just went for my third time in a row and got my order messed up for the third time in a row. This time I got it and the ice wasn't even ground up, there are big chunks in the bottom along with pieces of fruit that aren't ground up, and it's not even the right flavor of smoothie, not to mention we waiting 15 minutes as the only car in the drive through while all the staff were clearly joking and messing around in the inside of the building. I recommend you give them some more time to get their staff in order before going there. read more
