I had packed everything. Everything!! Or at least as we departed for Hot Springs, I felt like I had…read morepacked everything. The whole time I'm running through the house before leaving, I'm saying to myself, and sometimes aloud, Don't forget the cigars. Don't forget the cigars. And it wasn't until I was good and settled in at my motel in the Spa City, on day two or so, when I had finally reached that particularly chill moment of the vacation, out by the motel pool, after a robust mountain trail hike, that I then realized that I had in fact, forgotten the cigars. After a brief moment of being mad at myself for doing so, I got on Yelp. And it took me to Tobacco Town! Won't you take me to Tobacco Town? There were no pics posted at that time, but I knew it was close to my motel, and I kept my expectations where I keep my friends (In Low Places!)-just keeping it musical! All I wanted was to spend hopefully less than five dollars on a cigar, and hopefully get something at least mildly higher in quality than a Swisher Sweet! So, out we ventured on a rare, and gorgeous sunny afternoon this trip, determined to get back poolside at the motel asap! I can tell you this. Tobacco Town on a Saturday mid-afternoon is a jumpin' place! I mean, they are hoppin' on the inside and out! Slammed. They have a drive thru that seems to operate much like a fast food drive thru at peak lunch hours, but I can also say as per my observation, they kept this sucker moving. Inside and out. And the two workers that I saw, not sure if there were more than two, my visit was a brief one, they were handling it quite well. And with smiles! I walked in, unsure of the layout. Both workers acknowledged me. Said hello. Both said they'd be with me in a minute. Even as busy as they were, they still looked up and spoke to me. I saw the tall standup humidor case with cigars and walked in that direction, as the employees were already assisting others inside, and in the drive thru. I was immediately pleased to see inside the humidor nice, affordable cigars, certainly below my five dollar wishes. I found a solid three dollar smoke, bought two, so I wouldn't run low or out the rest of our trip. The clerk who assisted me was super friendly and helpful. Quick to unlock the humidor, and as well to ring me up. In all my excitement from such a good and productive visit, I forgot also to score some matches or a lighter, which I also failed to pack, so after already exiting this finely-run establishment, I just hopped across the street to Dodge's, a large gas station/convenience store (I needed beer anyway) where I picked up a kick arse Foo Fighters disposable lighter, and two Naty Ice tallboys for 99 cents a piece!! Score. Score. Aaaaand score!! So, in summation, if you're from out of town, and you're in need of tobacco, it only makes sense to visit Tobacco Town. This place seems to be flooded with locals, but that's a really good thing, because when you're traveling, be it a restaurant or tavern, or whatevs, you want to go wherever the locals go. 'Cause they know above all. And for all of their tobacco needs, it appears that this is their hub. And let it be yours, for whenever you're here in town and in need of something proper to enjoy from the tobacco leaf!
