Do not use them. And definitely do not use their Pastor. I was not going to post a negative review for them but their pastor pushed me over the edge. This company is basically a middleman that wants you to pay them and they have their own vendors that you are unable to check out ahead of time. So to make a long story as short as I can, we had already chosen our own pastor ahead of of time, and so did not use their pastor. And my main complaint is that THEIR pastor, who was not involved in our wedding in any way, posted a VERY NASTY comment and LIE, that we didn't like nor pay for our photos. The real story is that they do not clarify the 20-photo package and that THEY choose the 20 photos to send to you. When we wrote a very professional email to Kim explaining that we were very disappointed that we did not receive the photos we hoped to see, and are willing to pay the difference btw the $500 we paid and the extra $200 for the flash drive to get all photos, Kim said she wanted us to be happy and so will send us the flash drive. We first thought this was a nice gesture to resolve the issue. However, after I posted a photo on facebook, their pastor, whom was not our officiant, not involved in our wedding in ANY way, posted the very nasty public comment that he was told we did not like our photos and got them for free. We feel whatever we agreed with Kim was not his business and he had it all wrong. And this is supposed to be a man of God? No thank you. We are so happy we chose our own very professional, wonderful pastor. Kim tries to accommodate brides during the process, however she has a hard time returning emails or phone calls while we are trying to make decisions. Many emails have to go back and forth rather than a more organized way to handle plans. We hired our own caterer, pastor and videographer. While it's a huge help for them to bring tables and chairs, we do not feel $250/ hr is necessary for day of wedding help. The day of the wedding, we paid $250/ hr for them to come decorate/ set up but my friend did most of the work already. The wedding coordinator forgot to hand me my flowers, therefore I walked down without them so no help there. Mostly, this is about the fact that it is just easier and best to pick your own vendors. They did have a great dj that we were happy with. But thank goodness we picked our own Pastor. Find a beautiful cabin, hire someone to drop off tables and chairs and hire your own pastor, photographer, caterer and videographer. That way there is no middle man charging you extra fees and you know who your vendors are. And Pastor Buddy, how can you call yourself a pastor. My wedding was none of your business. My lady and I live in the heart of England, many thousands of miles from Smokey Mountain Weddings. We chose Pastor Buddy's team to help us cement our union based upon his web-site, a couple of phone calls and some emails. We could not have asked for a more professional, friendly and smooth ceremony. Our big day in front of Cataract Falls was superb. Managed superbly by Pastor Buddy's joyous team. Our travel plans meant we had to leave Pigeon Forge the next day and head for part two of our "grand tour" (Nashville) but a visit to Smokey Mountain Wedding HQ on route was a a pleasure because the photographer had pulled out more stops to get our photographs ready. Ang they were excellent. Have I forgotten anything? Nope. I don't think so. A brilliant day, leading to marriage to a brilliant lady. Did I mention the date? August 19th 2004. Every moment of the day is like it was yesterday. We could not have improved it in any way. And we still have the flowers preserved, and the photos on display. Of course the Marriage Certificate from the County of Sevier takes pride of place in our entrance hall. If I could give negative 100 stars I would. This place is trying to call me a liar when I have a recording of my wedding. I was live on tiktok and had over 1000 people in my live. Alot took screen recordings and screenshots. They all heard the woman who owns the carriage ride company call the preacher and tell him he needed to turn around and come back. I chose the "celebrate with us package" then upgraded the cake and photos. This was not a first marriage. I did not want anything big and fancy, yet I wanted it to be very nice but simple. The ceremony was to be in our rented cabin. The pastor and photographer were to arrive at 3:45 for a 4PM ceremony. They would bring the cake, cupcakes, flowers and champagne. At 4:10 no one had showed up. I called the wedding planner, and she had been trying to call my home phone. (Of course we are not at home. We are in TN) The pastor and photographer were lost. I was to call the pastor to direct him to our cabin. I did call and got the pastor on the right road. I spoke to the wedding planner again. Now the photographer was broke down in another town 1 hour away, and he had the flowers, cake and champagne with him. He had gone to another location. She was sending a stand in photographer for the ceremony. The pastor could not wait for the real photographer to arrive because he had another wedding. My choice was to get married then with no flowers or the pastor would have to come back later in the evening because he had another wedding to perform. We finally were married 1 hour late, at 5PM. The stand in photographer did take all the photos I wanted. The pastor was a very nice man that performed a Christian ceremony. He used the love verses from I Corinthians which we both really like. We were told the original photographer would be coming in an hour so we all waited inside the house in our wedding attire so more wedding photos could be taken. At 7:10PM I took photos of my empty cake plate and tiered cupcake holders. I made an angry call to the wedding planner's nite service, then I changed my clothes into something comfortable. At 8:30PM the photographer arrived. The cupcakes had been tossed about inside the boxes so they were a mess. The champagne was hot and undrinkable. The cake was lovely, decorated with the same flowers as the bouquet. The flowers were all fresh and lovely just 4.5 hours late. It was a sad joke. The photographer took lots of wedding photos. They will look like party pictures because we were all in comfortable clothes. No one ate any cake. We had already had dinner, and the celebrating had begun. Do not get your floral arrangements done here. I send the staff at Smokey Mountain Weddings a picture of the exact bouquet I wanted. I was quoted one price. Then closer to the wedding I was told if I wanted those particular colors it would be $20 more. After I paid the extra, i was never so disappointed than on my wedding day the preacher shows up with my flowers and they totally the wrong colors. Wrong purple. Wrong pink. At this point I had no time to change it or try fix it myself. I has a rose only bouquet it wasn't like I was asking for flowers that only grow in Europe!!!! We called to scheduled our March 31st wedding back in January, clearly not knowing what the weather was going to be like. We told staff then that we did not want a religious service and they said they would find someone to do it. They later called saying they found someone. Jill called us maybe a week or 2 before asking if we were still on and we said yes. There was a 60% chance of rain at that time. fast forward to the week we get here and it bumps up to 90% chance, but my husband and I still want to proceed. Jill calls us the day before asking for "Cassie and Jeremy" but our names are Kelsey and Jeremiah. She asks if we're still on and we say yes. The day of the wedding while I'm in the middle of my hair and makeup, Jill calls and asks if we're still on because of the weather. I told her yes because my hair and makeup girls were only going to be here for 1 day. I told her if it had to be moved to a different location that was fine. Jill said she would call the pastor. Jill calls back not even 5 minutes later and I don't think she realized I had answered the phone, but I heard male sat "fuck" and Jill say "damn it," then put on her customer service voice. Yes my hair and makeup girls heard this too. Jill said that she told the pastor that we were still on. My wedding was scheduled for 3 PM. Literally on our way to the location (so within a half hour of when we were supposed to get married), Jill calls us and says that our pastor who is supposed to do our non religious ceremony suddenly had to go back home to Oklahoma and that she had to find another pastor. A few minutes later, pastor Buddy calls us and says he'll do our wedding, but he didn't feel comfortable doing a non-religious one. We told Buddy that we did not feel comfortable with a religious ceremony. He then goes on to tell us how he was Methodist and how he found Jesus in a jail cell 40 years ago and how he couldn't renounce the name of God. We told him that was fine if that's what he believed, but we did not like having his religion pushed on us. Buddy told us he would call someone from the courthouse. My hair girl is obviously very upset as well and calls them telling them how this is ridiculous. Buddy then calls my husband and I yelling how we could be doing this to him. Buddy would not even let my husband talk, yelling over him. Long story short, Buddy paid someone at the court house to marry us, so we got married at the court house. If we wanted a court house wedding, we would have just stayed home in our home state and saved the money. I feel like if this company only wanted to do religious weddings, then they need to say so. Not everyone is religious and it's BS to have someone else's religion pushed on to others. Please save yourself from this awful experience if you're not wanting a religious ceremony! read more

Our experience was actually positive as far as the ceremony itself went. (I was thankful for this, because I've heard complaints about some of the actual pastors that perform the weddings, since our wedding) Our pastor was nice and was presentable. The ceremony went well. Then the photography began. If I hadn't had a good friend there taking pictures as well, I would have been in tears for the entire last week, as we just received our "professional" pics from Smokey Mountain Weddings. They are ABSOLUTELY awful. Cheesy poses, off-center, crooked, bad lighting, no touch-ups.... AND we have three children , of whom they did not include in even ONE of the pictures we were sent. Thank God I did not pay the other $150 for the full CD. I spent $300 extra dollars just to ensure we had some professional photography... and instead what we got looks like someone took a disposable camera and got a few bad shots. I could sure have used the $300 to buy some food for our reception we're having back home. Anyone who edits a butterfly into someone's hand should lose the right to using photo-editing software.
