Completely unreliable business. Would give zero stars if I could because that's exactly what I got from them. I ordered flowers for Valentine's Day (Friday) and they were never delivered. I'm disappointed, frustrated and quite frankly, mad about the entire experience with Crouch. I get that it's the busiest day of the year for them and things can happen. What I don't get is the lack of any communication--no call, text, or email--to let me know there was an issue in the first place. JUST NOTHING. They didn't even try to deliver next day. When I called them Monday morning, the customer service person was anything but courteous. I didn't receive an apology nor a reason. I was told I would get a refund in 5 to 7 days, which is faster than their delivery service...if I actually get a refund that is. Extremely disappointing, especially for such an important occasion. I had a horrible experience. It's been a few years since I ordered from Crouch Florists. I recommended your business to my client and was SO disappointed and so was he. I was assisting my client in ordering special flowers for his wife for Mother's Day. I highly recommended Crouch Florists because I have always had a great experience with them in the past. Dan is suffering with the late stages of Parkinson's disease. We called Crouch Florists the beginning of the week, Tuesday, before Mother's Day. Dan wanted the most expensive arrangement for his wife and paid $91.00 on his credit card. Attached is the arrangement .Dan asked me, "Is this what $91.00 looks like? Wow, we were both very disappointed. I called on his behalf TWICE and no one returned my phone call. I emailed Crouch Florists TWICE and no one returned my email or called. I made the mistake of using these people for a one time purchase. (A relative passed on in another state.) Someone sent a picture of the arrangement and it was "OK". Unfortunately, Crouch took my one-time order as an invitation to inundate me with SPAM emails, and as of today, they have passed on my email address to other florists. I wish I knew why a business would make such a foolish decision about something as annoying as SPAM email. Fortunately, there are plenty of other florists available for my future needs. My granddaughter was going to her very first dance, and it was very important to her. She had a beautiful dress, and I wanted her to have a beautiful wrist corsage. I went to crouch, and I explained to them exactly what I wanted. They had a ribbon that matched her dress perfectly. I was so excited when I saw the ribbon and I expressed that to them. I told them that that was definitely the ribbon I wanted. when I picked up the corsage, it was my fault that I failed to look at it until later because I was so rushed. I met up with my granddaughter and opened up the box. There was a completely different ribbon that didn't even match her dress. Also, the flowers that were used had some browning on the tips. I was so devastated. I could tell my granddaughter was very disappointed. Needless to say she did not wear the corsage. I will never use them again because when I called and said something about it, they told me that the ribbon I chose would not look good so they did not use it. Crouch is great. Everyone in my family has used them pretty much forever, but this week was the first time I used them myself. My aunt passed away and we needed two arrangements; one from my parents and one from all the nieces and nephews. My mom and I went in and were greeted by Jesse who was an absolute dream to work with. She was very understanding of the situation, very patient while my mom and I tried to decide what we wanted (which took forever because our brains were mush after two weeks of sitting in hospice), and helped us stay positive and upbeat. She charged the two arrangements separately so that we could have two different messages, but only charged us one delivery fee since they were being delivered to the same place. The next morning when we got to the funeral home, the flowers had been delivered and were beautiful. They were exactly what we asked for and were larger than I had expected given what we had asked for. Unfortunately, the flowers didn't last as long as I had hoped, but they were so beautiful. Terrible customer service! If you are on the phone and a customer walks in, at least acknowledge that they are there. We were practically standing there in front of her face for 10 minutes and she did not even look up once. Also, on top of that, the manager of the store, who was sitting in his office, walked out and saw us, grabbed a few papers and then walked back in without saying a word. If I could give a 4.5 I would. If you're looking for high quality at a good price, this is your place. The bad part first... When I walked in, I was pleasantly greeted. I explained to the clerk that I was purchasing flowers for my wife for our 8 year anniversary. The clerk seemed impatient as I wasn't exactly sure what kind of arrangement I was looking for. I'm not a flower guy, so I had no clue what she was talking about as she rattled off names of flowers. There was nothing on display for me to choose from, with the exception of a couple bundles of roses in a giant empty cooler. I had to ask a couple times to see some examples, and only got to see a few things as she quickly thumbed through a book. The good part.. I decided to go with one of the rose arrangements, which was very reasonably priced, at which time the clerk brightened right up and snapped into action, added some other flowers that worked very well, and gave me an amazingly beautiful arrangement. My wife was floored with the outstanding quality of the flowers! It would be nice to have more to visually choose from, and have staff that recognizes that not everyone is a florist. I will definitely return, but I might do some google work to educate myself on flowers beforehand. read more

My husband sent flowers to me for Valentine's Day and they were so beautiful!!! I know they weren't cheap either, so now, 3 days later, I feel sad when I see that they are already withering away. They were absolutely beautiful for TWO days, that's it. I don't understand. I've sent flowers to people (through Proflowers.com) and had them remark on how after a FULL week, they are still perky and beautiful. I have had flowers (from other florists) that lasted a week! Is it the type of flower? The supplier? Or the handling of the florist? I'm afraid my husband won't send flowers again as he sees it as a waste, but as most women will tell you...it's not a waste, especially if they last awhile?! They ran out of flowers on Mother's Day and instead of contacting me to resolve the issue, they instead sent a house plant you'd find on the coffee table in your dentist's office waiting room. Disappointing is an understatement. While I did go through 1-800 flowers to order, maybe you'll have better luck ordering directly from them as they don't honor agreements with their partner companies. Crouch Florist came highly recommended from friends who live in Knoxville as I live in Middle Tennessee. I needed to order some flowers on behalf of a family member to an employee at Ft. Sanders. The staff was so friendly, so effecient and the order process was perfect. I got a call a little later that there was no one at Ft. Sanders by that name. The delivery driver and one of the girls at Crouch Florist both tried to locate the girl in other departments at the hospital. They had names of every person they spoke with and even asked if we knew of a home address or another address to deliver the flowers (at no additional charge!). Unfortunately, we did not know of another address so Crouch Florist gave a FULL REFUND for the order that day! Customer service like this isn't very common these days. I HIGHLY recommend Crouch Florist for all of your floral needs!!! read more

Ordered a bouquet of flowers for my wife for her birthday. When they showed up the driver gave us someone else's arrangement, I had to chase him down the driveway before he took off and get my order. The order I did get looked nothing like the arrangement online. I understand that some flowers may not be available, however, steps should be taken to contact the customer prior to making the arrangement in order to ensure customer satisfaction. That being said, once I spoke with Shaq, he apologized profusely, had a beautiful fresh arrangement made for my wife and sent it out the following Monday. While I was a little disappointed with the first arrangement that wasn't exactly what I had ordered, the length that Shaq and Crouch florist went to to ensure a customers satisfaction made all the difference. Apparently they went the extra mile for my friend and took time out of thier delivery day to deliver the floral arrangement to the cemetary when it couldn't fit into the funeral cars! I live in California. I have a special person who I love in Knoxville. I love to get him gift baskets for the holiday. The other day he said something special to me. I had to send him something. I felt a plant was appropriate. I placed the order through the internet. Yesterday he received a beautiful plant that he just loves. Do not give these people the opportunity to ruin a birthday, anniversary, funeral, holiday, etc. Tried to send flowers to mother in texas- paid approximately $30 to make sure it arrived in time for her birthday. That was THREE WEEKS AGO. When I checked on the order, a week ago, they made an excuse that the florist in Texas couldn't be reached (why is it in your database, then?), and actually gave me attitude and the texas phone number and told me to call it myself. A week later, still no word, update, or flowers. I call them and they blatantly lie to my face and say I cancelled the order. I am not a difficult customer, never have been. I was appalled at the treatment I received when I attempted to order flowers on Tuesday for my Mother-in-Law's funeral. Yes, it was the day before Valentine's Day, but I really don't think this should have been a factor. We arrived at the florist on Tuesday morning a little after their normal opening at 8 a.m. to find the door locked and a sign stating that they were not taking any more Valentine's orders. I knocked on the door with no response. We could see people moving about in the store. Finally, I banged on the door in an attempt to get a response. Eventually a lady came to the door and let us in. I asked if they were open and before I could even get another word out, she immediately told me they were not taking any more Valentine's orders! Really? I thought this was a full service florist. I explained that we needed to order flowers for my family casket and that they requested red roses. She said they didn't have any more red roses. I asked if they had pink and was told no. Really? It then became obvious to me that my needs were not important to them. I was shocked that they were so insensitive. My husband and I have used this florist many times in the past but since they obviously don't need or want my business, I won't be using them again. read more

This is a little late but I have been out of town on business. Upon returning home to Knoxville I found that the flowers that I ordered for my Mom from 1800Flowers were not delivered as ordered. What was sent was a plant. Beautiful but not what I ordered. I went into Crouch Florist on Friday and spoke with Ashley and Jessie. Jessie took the time to explain to me that when the order was received by them on Sunday morning (I placed the order on Friday with 1800) that they were low on flowers as this had been a very busy holiday. She showed me the correspondence with 1800 where she clearly stated that they were out of flowers and asked if they could send a plant. Without contacting me, 1800Flowers gave her permission to change the order. I immediately realized that the issue was not with the florist but with 1800. The ladies went above and beyond and even offered to redeliver an arrangement on Monday. I didn't want to do that since I now know it was not their mistake. They insisted, so my Mom will now get to enjoy fresh flowers all next week. I will call them directly in the future because they do care about their customers! I highly recommend them! read more
