Very friendly staff, a nice setting with some tables outside to watch the world go by. Fair prices as well and dogfriendly. A sunny day, so we took a table outside. Ordered the classic cornish pasty with steak filling. And it was a fine pasty. But not the best we've ever had. The pasty could have been crispier, the filling a bit more spiced up. Did taste a bit bland. But recipes are different, tastes are different. It was good - but not great. Nice was the size, a really big pasty with lots of stuffing. It's really a whole meal for itself. All in all still a fine visit. The location was great, we enjoyed sitting down and to watch all the action.

I was only in Newquay for half a day and I went there three times.. and I was on a strict diet, no treats or sugary food but walking down the Newquay high street and seeing this small little shop I couldn't help myself.. it's like a little curiosity shop that you can't help but enter. Suffice to say, when I go back next year I'll be visiting this one again.

While the flavor profile did not match my tastebuds this day, the latte was superb and the milk held until the last drop. Which signals mad skills and a dedication to pulling a cup that the barista would be proud to serve in a completion. I like that. Had a slice of banana bread. Tasty. The wife had a cortado. Never got a sip. So I am certain it was good as well. I loved how asking a question about the beans of the day evoked a conversation...an actual conversation about the origins and intents of the beans they sell. It matters. Single origin and a relationship to the grower. How cool is that? Way cool. Worth the trip to Falmouth to find...but hurry up. They close at 3pm.

I have a soft spot for Panamanian coffee, as my parents lived there for a few years, but I think any objective taster would agree that this was good stuff. Anyway: perfectly pulled espresso, great temperature (hot, not warm), perfect amount of milk steamed just right. And a cute space in a good location, friendly and laid-back barista, and wonderful-smelling bags of coffee all around the shop. Oh, and a bottle of tap water provided on the table! The only problem with this place is that it's in Falmouth instead of London, so I won't visit as often as I'd like.

The peppermint tea was light and refreshing, just perfect for a hot summer's day. The kitchen inside was a hive of activity, as more and more people descended on the tea rooms. We would have liked to sample more of the menu, but sadly we had a long journey ahead of us that day, but there's always the next time we visit Boscastle!

Very convenient for people walking the coast path. Cream teas, cakes, soup and a few main dishes. I had a nice, reasonably priced fish cake and salad. For some reason this came with a rather excessive amount of mayonnaise. Still, it was interesting watching the gulls attempt to wolf down all the left over mayonnaise, butter and so-on on other tables! Birds have a very different metabolism to us don't they!
