Saguenay is off the beaten track, but the ferry across the mouth of the fjord (where we saw a pod of beluga whales) was worthwhile, as was the drive up the fjord to Saguenay. Walking through the town, we saw Smokey, but with all the Elvis memorabilia, we wondered if it was Memphis style bbq. It was exactly what we were looking for Quebec style (or Montréal style) smoked meat, like pastrami, but can I say this- as good or better than most. So juicy, cokes with three processes- according to the chef- cured, sous vide, and steamed! Was it delicious!
