Review for Sky Rise Vapor (Forney, TX)…read more
I'm writing this review after experiencing extremely unprofessional treatment at this shop on two separate occasions, even after I tried to resolve things respectfully.
The first incident happened when I took a quick picture of an anime rolling tray that caught my eye. There were no signs saying photos weren't allowed, and I've taken pictures of products before with no issue. I usually ask for permission out of courtesy if someone is nearby, but in this case, no one was available -- employees were either helping other customers or in the back of the store. Since there's no rule against it, I didn't think it would be a problem.
Instead of politely asking, the same employee who had been assisting me earlier came back out very aggressively moments after I took a quick picture of a Naruto and Goku rolling tray. She accused me of taking photos to compare prices with other stores -- completely false and unnecessary -- and even demanded to see my phone, as if I'd done something wrong. I was calm and respectful, but being treated like that over a $10 tray was completely out of line.
She later told me I was "blowing the situation out of proportion," which was uncalled for. I've been shopping here for over a year, always respectful and spending more than the average customer -- often buying entire box, sometimes boxes of cigars and other products in one visit.
The manager, Moe, later called to apologize and offered me complimentary merchandise to make things right. Moe has always been kind and professional, but unfortunately his employees have gone too far.
When I returned to shop again today, October 24th, 2025, at around 7:00 PM, another employee refused to serve me -- even saying I could "come back tomorrow so Moe could help instead." Two other employees ignored me completely. That same employee also accused me of lying about my original post, even though the manager himself confirmed it was true and personally apologized for it. That accusation was completely unnecessary and honestly made the employee look foolish for trying to dispute something his own manager had already taken responsibility for.
That kind of behavior is extremely rude, unprofessional, and borderline prejudiced, especially considering how calm and polite I was the entire time. Why would I return to spend money somewhere that makes me feel uncomfortable and disrespected? I'd be foolish to keep supporting a business that allows employees to treat loyal customers this way.
Unless the entire staff is replaced with people who actually value and respect customers, I won't be returning. There are plenty of other smoke shops -- and even online stores -- that treat people right and appreciate loyalty.
