I then realized that the cashier didn't even give me my change! not only that, but I noticed that the 20 I handed him had gone into the register, and that two 5$ bills had quickly replaced it alongside my receipt in his hand. I quietly watched and when he didn't look back up, I had to call to his attention that I had overpaid and needed 10$ in change. I'm not sure how he managed it but he gave me the 10 then with no apology, not so much as an "oops".

In this overbearing smoking law state of IL he has provided an atmosphere that allows smoking indoors. -He has an amazing selection of cigars, and has always been reasonably friendly with me. I have yet to take advantage of the Hookah bar, so this is more on the cigar end of the business. -My most recent visit resulted in a pretty big spend but he did sell me a very high quality cigar case and humidor kit. Impulse buy, but I'm very happy with it Cons: -There have been a couple of times when I've looked a little sideways at this place. I've not always been convinced that the cigar inventory has been kept fresh to my personal expectations though I will admit I think Jack has gotten increasingly better at this over the years. I have gotten dry stuff before hence the rating, and I strongly suggest carefully inspecting before purchase. -There was a situation where I was nearly dealt a $50 OVERCHARGE. This did not seem to happen with a regular but when you mix up cigars and prices make sure you check the receipt -Price tags especially on the cigars are not always clearly marked (most are however), and it is a royal pain to sort through that stuff. Again why can't these places ever clearly mark by the box? :(

They buy and bag their own blends and are happy to let you sample before you buy. They have a large selection of tubes and machines to choose from as well as brand name tobaccos though I strongly recommend using theirs. Just ask to sample the red or the gold. The staff is sweet and courteous and happy to help. They also have a nice selection of glass, vape products, some CBD, cigarette cases, incense and oils, sprays, grinders, scales, and some odds and ends you wouldn't expect. As a long time self roller who gets regular compliments I recommend the Top O Matic T2 roller, Hot Rod tubes and the Red store brand tobacco. Gold, if you prefer something a little smoother. And for cigar smokers they do have a walk in humidor and they keep their store brand rolling tobacco in there as well.
