Jack is a fantastic person and has a shop that carries almost everything. Been going there since he opened up.

A good combination of a tobacco shop, smoking pad, and convenience store - This is a rehash of the prior review with some additions Pros: -I have to give Jack credit. In this overbearing smoking law state of IL he has provided an atmosphere that allows smoking indoors. -He has an amazing selection of cigars, and has always been reasonably friendly with me. I have yet to take advantage of the Hookah bar, so this is more on the cigar end of the business. -My most recent visit resulted in a pretty big spend but he did sell me a very high quality cigar case and humidor kit. Impulse buy, but I'm very happy with it Cons: -There have been a couple of times when I've looked a little sideways at this place. I've not always been convinced that the cigar inventory has been kept fresh to my personal expectations though I will admit I think Jack has gotten increasingly better at this over the years. I have gotten dry stuff before hence the rating, and I strongly suggest carefully inspecting before purchase. -There was a situation where I was nearly dealt a $50 OVERCHARGE. This did not seem to happen with a regular but when you mix up cigars and prices make sure you check the receipt -Price tags especially on the cigars are not always clearly marked (most are however), and it is a royal pain to sort through that stuff. I gave this place the benefit of the doubt. I went there on numerous occasions for vape juice and coils for my tank. My mother actually brought me there and introduced me to the owner and at the time, he wasn't carrying the coils I needed. He started carrying them for me to frequent his store and even contacted my mom to let me know. Each time, I paid $4.99 for the coil for my aspire nautilus mini (local prices elsewhere in the area are $4, but this this place is closest so I spent the extra $1). I went in this last Sunday- and this time I was to purchase a glass pipe for a visiting guest, as well as juice and a new coil. I looked at the glass first, then asked for the coil. It was a lady who I've never seen in there working. She immediately tells me it's going to be $5.99 for the coil. I asked her if she's sure, as I've paid $4.99 every other time and not sure why it would go up a dollar. She insisted that it's $5.99. Then shows me how the entire pack of 5 is $19.99 and if I want only one it's $5.99... well, do your own math- that doesn't add up at all. Considering I've paid the same price each time anyway- I'm not there to barter on a dollar. Then- she becomes very rude and acted like I'm there to rip her off for a dollar. I came in to spend $75 - with the glass pipe and juice. There are now 2 other customers and she's making a BIG deal and still telling me I'm WRONG and she's not going to take $4.99. I tell her that not only did she lose a $75 sale, but a customer , and I walk out. I go to their next door business- Jack's Hookah bar, to tell the manager there of my experience. He gets my information and informs me that the owner will call and he's very apologetic for my experience and tells me of another vape shop I could go to that's open on a Sunday after 6pm. (I went and got my coil for $4). Monday, I get the call from the owner- who did NOT apologize but insisted that if he had been there perhaps I'd have paid $4.99 but that his employees aren't aware of the prices?! He was rude on his call to me and told me he's so very happy I found another shop to frequent and bring my business to. What the heck? What kind of business is this? How did he not just think to apologize for my experience and offer me a reason to come back to his business? Very poor form. I do not suggest going there. read more
