I've been a loyal client for well over 5 years now. Both, the owner and a former employee gentleman were and always are always very pleasant to deal with. the atmosphere is mildly simple, wide and open, and has a decent selection of glass pieces, tobacco, detox cleansers and other recreational devices not limited to Vaporizers you can choose from. However, upon doing my own research, I've seen some of those same pieces that list for 129 to 149, on line for 34.99 free shipping.
I understand as well as any business savvy individual that in order to maintain a profitable business, there must be a mark up. Econ 101 principles. But when the smallest ding against the glass causes it to shatter, 10 different times, all different pieces and thickness, it goes without saying it is frustrating. Especially when near by smoke shops offer the same and if not more product for considerably less with noticeably higher quality that doesn't shatter with the tiniest placement on top of a table. So with that being said, If you do manage to ask for a discount, they just c the tax. and hats fine n all, but for that quality, after that many terrible experiences, it wouldn't hurt their business by offering a 40% discount once in a while.
But the Sole purpose of writing this review, is in regards to a girl who works there currently (01/10/2018 at 7:25pm). I literally feel her judging me as I enter the store each time. I live near buy so if I dont have any other errands to run, I just say in warm clotes. But the problem I experienced tonight, was that she was allowing these folks to hold, test and play with some vaporizers ($60 and more), getting their saliva on them, but when I asked to some question regarding a product they carried called Kratom, she had little knowledge and that is ok.
However, in all my life in retail, the key to being a valuable asset is by knowing the product you offer to you can stand by your word and satisfy a customer so they return and refer ppl as well. Well I asked if could please read the label of the ingredients in one of the products as I was actually considering buy, She told me in said in short, that she didnt trust me to with a $50 bottle which I only wanted to read the ingredients,. I said I understand, despite the couple beside me were playing with their vaporizers that were not purchased yet, and so I asked if she could turn the label so I could read the ingredients at least.
Her response was, "As you can see, Im busy." While she wiped glass counter tops. Then she followed that with, "well you can go home and theres this wonderful thing called google you can look up and find what you need to know(sarcastically). In 13 years of sales, customer service, retail and training, I've never experienced such a lack of willingness from an employee. Had I been able to read the ingredients, I would have actually bought it as she just broke a 100 dollar bill for me.
Id say if it was a onetime thing, fine let it slide, but she is like that all of the time with me in specific. If she doesn't like her job, maybe management should consider replacing her with me and show then how I can turn a stagnant market into a prospering one. All I ask, is that she treats me like any other customer and doesn't huff and puff her way through her interactions with me as I am always kind, like so kind its literally impossible to think Im asking for too much, A customer has the right to know what it is they are gong to by before actually committing 50 plus dollars only to learn that because they could not be well informed, they are now stuck with a useless product and $50 less. I still wonder to this day what, how and when I wronged her to recieve such attitude but nothing comes to mind, She needs to change or she needs to go.Seems harsh but thats the most polite I can be in regards to finally being so fed up with her I resulted to Yelp to mention this.
Sincerely, A loyal Customer.
