We…read moreexperienced a roof leak in October that involved poor installation workmanship by the solar company when they replaced solar panels on my roof. My home insurance would not cover the damages. I had to place a tarp on my roof temporarily while dealing with this nightmare. The Solar company "Tesla" did not take responsibility for damages to the roof tiles that caused the leak. The home insurance company pointed fingers to the solar company and denied my claim. I had to source out several roofing companies. In the midst of rainy season, some roofing companies told me that it would be weeks till they can come out and do any repairs. I searched on Yelp and found Jacobo Roofing. I saw the reviews and called them. Within a day, I was contacted by Marcos. It's a Father/Son team. That same week, they came out to my property to access the issue. The Solar panels were an obstacle, and I had to get them removed before any recommendations for the repair can be established. Tesla offered their uninstallation services for a fee, but I opted in not using them because they are the source of the problem. After I got the Solar panels removed, Marcos and his father came back out. They gave me a reasonable proposal and also recommended other work on the ridge of the roof that would make water drainage better and to prevent other damages to the roof. The work was scheduled a week after the proposal. Marcos kept me informed the entire time. On the day of the repair, I had to work and was not at home. Marcos and his team worked on the roof for 2-days and completed the work. They removed all debris and materials and my roof is leak free. Marcos and his Father are subject experts in this field and they professionally handle the visits, communication, and the entire process. They put customer concern at the highest priority. They communicated with me the entire time of the project. Best of all, they gave me a 10 year warranty on their work. I highly recommend this company for any residential work.

For the flat roof portion they installed polyurethane about 1 inch thick with a top silicon coat. The silicon comes with a 50 year warranty. Based on my research, this is the best solution for flat roofs. Better than PVC or TPO because there are no seams. This roof has the additional advantage of R7 insulation from the Polyurethane, and the silicon coating is white, so it reflects the sunlight. I would think this will help keeping our house call in the summer months.

Robert called and stated he was ten minutes away. 45 minutes later I receive a text stating his vehicle would not make it up the road to my house. This is often an issue as there are two roads to take. One is impassible. Google Maps knows this and routes people the easier route (which semi trucks and large vehicles take daily with no issues). Prior to the conversation with Robert, Jose stated if Robert couldn't make it up that day he would schedule me for the following Wednesday for Inspection. No one called or showed up Wednesday either. When I called Robert THE OWNER to ask what happened to my Wednesday appointment he said I wasn't honest about how far up a dirt road I live on (like I didn't provide my service address originally.) When asked why I never received a call about the missed appointment I was told I should have called him. Why is the customer responsible for confirming an appointment the contractors office made? Absolutely horrendous customer service and an absolute joke of a contractor who takes zero accountability for his companies poor organization. If I could give zero stars I would. DONT BOTHER CALLING THIS COMPANY. They'll just waste your time.

Had his relative do the job and he did it wrong found out later he put the cut side forward instead putting it in the back. His relative started 1 week before. Now the dust won't fall off the panels. It collects dust and makes mud when you try to wash off, because of the little ridge. I was charged a professional job and got a beginner. Will have to it re-done to make it right. He wouldn't listen to how I wanted he overcharged and the final work lack quality and was unprofessional. Hire at your own risk. I was very disappointed in the job that was done.

I had a bunch of tarp nails all over my patio and backyard facing up...I had to clean it up myself because my kids play back there. And I had 5 bikes, 3 brand new, on my patio and they painted the board with some white paint and the mist from the paint came down on all the bikes. And lastly, they broke my Birdbath in my front yard and claimed it was "like that already" Luckily, I have cameras in my front yard and after showing him the proof, he gave me $30 to buy a new one. Overall, $1,600 for repairs, 5 bikes ruined from paint, I cleaned up their mess and they broke my birdbath. Oh, and almost forgot...they left big pile of singles on my roof in the front.

They never made efforts to remedy the matter. They offer a 5 year guarantee but it is useless as they never took care of the repairs. After endless calls and messages with no replies, I basically had to dish out $$$ to have the repairs taken care even though it was under guarantee The 1st project went smooth and was completed on schedule. The 2nd project went some what okay. The particular crew assigned to the project was a bit sloppy and lack knowledge . Both projects encountered additional repairs. After spending over $120,000 for roofing and getting abandoned from Lightening, I am not happy with the outcome. Nobody should ever have to experience, the situation I encountered and have to pay $$$ out of pocket for work which was guaranteed .
