Nice Store: So as of May 2023 they have a fresh meat counter on Fridays and Saturdays. So in it they were selling some chicken s, chicken pieces, jalapeno cheddar burgers, clean burgers, garlic sausage, bratwurst, jalapeno cheddar sausage oh and they had some blueberry maple breakfast sausage which I liked. You're also steaks and pork chops but I didn't buy those. They have sauces, like barbecue sauce etc, honeys, spices, some pretty attractive cutting boards too. There's also a refrigerator with sauerkrauts. I like the dill pickle one. There's also eggs from Mayberry farms, some salad dressings, some cheeses. There's also a freezer section with some of their Frozen meats. I believe this place is also maybe an abattoir, or a place where the beef goes after the abattoir. You can order beef in bulk. But also in bulk that's pretty reasonable for a couple or single person. Check out their website We tried the garlic sausage which I really liked, the maple bacon breakfast sausage which I thought was good. The jalapeno cheddar burgers were a hit as well. Oh in the freezer they also had some bagged sauces, for example I bought a Bolognese that was frozen. I haven't tried it yet Staff: Oh the people that work there were so nice. The guy behind the counter was nice explained how things were made helped me take a couple things so. Explain how everything worked. The lady of the cash, was a little busy at the time I went but she was cool. Answering all the questions while serving people. It's not always really busy because when I finally went to pay there was only one other person in the shop with me. Would I go back? Yes when I'm in the area I will definitely go back. I would definitely make sure to go on a Friday or Saturday to get fresh meat from the counter. There's a couple other places in Bruce mines that I like to check out.

The meat was provided instead in large chunks and because it was frozen could not be cut into manageable portions. Over 1/3 of the meat was very fatty ground beef, not an amount of lean ground beef to fill out the order as was the agreement. No liver was provided although the agreement included frozen sliced liver.

I stopped in this "Old Neighborhood" and village market on Wednesday October 23rd while in route to…read morea few wineries for some pretzels and Chex mix. What a nice, clean and organized store with pleasant "local" employees working. I noticed while looking for the snack isle that everyone knows someone in here (except me lol). It does not totally compare in size to my local Kroger or Meijer, yet Ken's Village Market is sufficient enough to satisfy customers looking for many foods, cereals, bakery, deli and other items on a weekly or weekend shopping basis. While power walking to shop I noticed a nice deli, bakery and weekly sale items in the main area. A familiar brand from my Value Center store back home that was sold which caught my eye. The old name "Spartan" Brand which is now called "Our Family" was displayed in the center area with canned fruit and vegetables on sale. ( see photo). Too bad I wasn't shopping with a list to grab a dozen. I saw a pharmacy counter for the local residents which is necessity here in this town. I also saw a shopper in a electric scooter so that is helpful for the handicap. I found the snack isle with many well known name brands as well as "Family= Spartan." My favorite "Snyder Pretzels" was on sale 2/$4.00 so I grabbed 2 different styles: Rods and Mini and also one regular bag (Blue) of Chex Mix. The liquor or booze shelves are directly across from the snacks, so how convenient and perfect is that idea for all party and munchie animals. :) When checking out, this store has a "U-Scan" area so I was paying without waiting in line. My snack shopping experience was successfully completed in a total of 15 minutes. Ken's Village Market is a bookmark when in this small town. Their store hours are: Monday thru Saturday 8 am to 9 pm and also Sundays 10 am to 5 pm. P.S. When exiting the parking lot I saw a resident shopper saving gas by riding his unicycle to this store. I hope he shops for 3 items or less ?? To keep balanced :)

The best store around. Anything you might need is in this store. The Bakery is the best.read more
