Class Act. A place run by a family that does business the way everyone should. Polite, accommodating, and generous. I was in a road trip and I'm the final throws my car started knocking and CEL came on. I called on Saturday...the Saturday before Xmas. Don't recommend this shop; poor communication, left car for brake check - no call for more than a day, finally I called, was told fronts needed replace but NOT rears; rears WERE replaced without letting me know first, pricey & WORST PROBLEM: my driver side mirror trim was MISSING when i picked up vehicle - owner took NO responsibility - said since car was picked up "after hours" (@ 7pm), he wasn't responsible for anything that happened on his property/ lot. Now I'm stuck with a trip to Subaru dealer - where I should have gone in the first place. Very sad & poor customer treatment. BEWARE! "Mysteriously" shop called & said they found my mirror trim piece - "it must have fallen off & blown under next car in their lot" hmmm, will see what dealer says. still think he broke & replaced the mirror. read more

Was in the area when my friend's car broke down, got a tow and sent it to this shop. Mechanics were able to change the battery and alternator within a resonable time frame since we were trying to get back to UAlbany. Would recommend them! read more

Dishonest place. Went to get my tires changed and car inspected. $133 later, left with broken tire sensor and missing light bulb. 1 1/2 hour after leaving garage, was pulled over by cop for no light above license. Was lucky not to get a ticket. Smith's Garage showed me a tiny light bulb that was being replaced. Mysteriously, was unable to book follow-up appointment to address these issues. "We need 4-5 days advance notice," this despite original job was as a walk in. So went to dealership, who said mechanic broke my tire sensor--instead of metal piece there was only a rubber valve on one tire and a light bulb above license was missing altogether! The lens was difficult to open but the dealer did it with patience, and showed me no bulb in there at all! Smith's Garage left their tool in my car. "You have my tool, it cost $300. Bring it back," "You left it in my car!!" Returned the tool. read more
