Good portion sizes obviously, as this is of course a Yorkshire chippy! But not crazy like some. Lunchtime special was fish and chips, bread and butter and a pot of tea for £6.80. Fantastic value especially considering the quality of the food. The menu is actually quite large and so would cater easily for anyone fancying a change from the standard. And with some very tempting proper puddings too as well as beers and wine for anyone who fancies it. Very good!

Pretty consistent and always fresh food, with all the expected bits and bobs on offer. Only once or twice have I ever been let down by this place, think they had turned the cookers off a few months ago and was less than impressed with a lukewarm fish that I needed to reheat( I keep going back and that speaks for itself.

They also sell Southern Fried Chicken, but as I have NEVER seen anyone buy it, presumably those who have either won't or can't buy again, I would not recommend it. This place used to be full of school kids on a weekday lunchtime so I imagine that's were they get a lot of trade. Again too much choice to put Long Row in the top five this side of Leeds. Give it a miss if you can.

Their kebabs in naan bread, cooked in seconds as you watch, are loaded with grilled meats, salad and a selection of sauces. Such is their generosity they have the appearance of a butcher's shop squeezed between two bread vans. It is not simply the quantity as the quality is huge too. Try the massalla fish or the kebader kebabs, gorgeous!! They also prepare grilled marinated whole chickens or lamb finished off on a hot plate with fried onions served again with naan and salad. What could be healthier, grilled meats served with fat free naans, salad and a selection of yoghurt based sauces. Absolutely delicious.
