After a couple visits, I quickly realized that she possesses several qualities that set her apart from the average doctor. First of all, Dr. Pratt thinks outside the box and uses her intuition to gather all the pieces of the puzzle. She is open-minded and is willing to explore new possibilities even if it isn't within her usual scope of practice. Dr. Pratt does an excellent job at presenting the options available to her patients while still allowing them to made their own decision. Most importantly, her desire to help people is clearly the driving passion behind her work. I would highly recommend Dr. Pratt.

It is so easy for me to open up to her and I always find her response not only enthusiastic, but positive and thorough. She is passionate about the kind of medicine she practices, and I find her optimism to be one of the things that keeps me on track when I want to just give up. She is also very realistic about treatment goals, and formulates things in such a way that you can tackle one thing at a time and it doesn't seem overwhelming. She also gives great hugs. I HIGHLY recommend Dr. Kat to all of my friends, and all of you!

From the moment I arrive, the staff are friendly, professional, and well organized. Check-in and check-out are smooth, appointments are usually on time, and I never feel rushed during my visits. The providers truly listen to my concerns and take the time to ask thoughtful questions. Treatment options are clearly explained, and I feel included in decisions about my care. I appreciate that the focus isn't just on medication, but on individualized pain management plans that consider long-term improvement and quality of life. The bedside manner is excellent, and it's clear the doctors and staff genuinely care about their patients. I've also had interactions with both the Hood River and The Dalles offices, and the level of professionalism and kindness has been consistent at both locations. Everyone treats me with respect and patience, which makes a big difference when dealing with chronic pain. Overall, Columbia Pain Management feels efficient, compassionate, and patient-centered. I feel supported, well-informed, and confident in the care I'm receiving, and I would recommend them to others seeking thoughtful, respectful pain management care.

I have never experienced more comprehensive and holistic healthcare. Chad has treated specific ailments while providing realistic strategies for improving my overall health and wellness. After a couple treatments I signed up for the monthly membership which is the price of a monthly gym membership. For less than the price of a massage I'm able to see Chad for acupuncture, adjustments, cupping etc whenever I'm in need of attention. It's been a tremendous value. My daughter has seen AIM partner Alex Pinchot a number of times and received cranial sacral which she has really benefited from. I've been a patient for 1.5 years, and feel so much security in knowing I can call or email, and receive a response the same day. Appointments are easy to schedule- and once you are in the office, they take plenty of time to listen to whats going on for you. I've had a number of 'wellness check' visits, where they make the space to talk about health goals, stress, diet, and general things going on in life. It feels deeply supportive to know that you don't have to be sick to still want/need medical care and advice. The monthly flat-fee makes it easy and stress-free, and has encouraged me to be in touch with Dr. Alex & Dr. Chad more often. Absolute best primary care in The Gorge!

The scheduler specifically told me I had to wait a month to get that day, time, and doctor who would do the surgery. When I arrived a month later at the appointment and filled out mounds of paperwork, I found I was only scheduled for a get-to-know kind of pre-op appointment. Okay, someone either screwed up or provided grossly inaccurate information to me. At the end of the appointment, I filled out more paper work and had to wait for the scheduler to call me again to actually schedule the surgery. She called back several days later (not the next day as I had been told), with appointments (yes, plural!) for another month later. She said because the surgery would be more than 30 days after my last appointment (not my fault), I would have to do ANOTHER pre-OP and fill out the same paperwork AGAIN. And get this, the scheduler told me I would have to do a pre-op at 8am, then go to a different location to fill out paperwork at 11am, and only then could I go into surgery the FOLLOWING morning. A waste of my time. What I can't figure is if it's solely due to incompetence or if increasing billings to insurance companies is part of the clinics acceptable protocol? Perhaps this is what you can expect from a small-town clinic. Bummer. It looks like will have to take my business to a doctor in Portland.
