I had one of the worst dental experiences of my life here -- both for myself and my daughter…read more 1. Insurance & treatment dishonesty: They told me my insurance approved a deep cleaning, but my insurance denied it. They also pushed "small" fillings that would have required large drilling -- which I later learned I didn't even need. I came in asking for a general cleaning only, but the dentist didn't explain anything about what they were doing. When I asked questions, she became defensive and angry. 2. Fraudulent billing & painful procedure: Less than one minute into the deep cleaning, I felt a sharp pain that I still feel to this day and walked out almost immediately. A real deep cleaning cannot be completed in one minute -- yet they still billed for it, trying to make it appear as if it had been done. They later "uncharged" my insurance only after being caught in their lies and confronted with the facts. 3. Record withholding, HIPAA violation & misinformation: I initially requested my dental records and was told they would charge me $25. Because of that, I asked another dentist office to obtain the records on my behalf, but they were refused. I then showed up in person to ask why they wouldn't send my records. To my surprise, they "waived the fee" in an apparent attempt to seem accommodating but only sent me my X-rays. This incomplete information prevented me from obtaining a proper second opinion. Months later, needing complete records for both myself and my daughter to secure proper care and legal protection, I served them with a formal HIPAA request. They refused to sign or accept the request, falsely claiming they "needed a manager," and acted unprofessionally throughout. Their refusal to provide all legally required information has severely hindered our ability to get the help we desperately need. 4. Child patient mistreatment: My daughter is on the autism spectrum and they did not have the patience or respect to treat her properly. One dentist raised her voice, tried to force my daughter's mouth open, and showed zero understanding of her needs. I stepped in, spoke to my daughter calmly, and she cooperated immediately -- something they should have done in the first place. Yet they still billed for the visit. 5. Pattern of questionable practices: While I was there, I overheard another patient on the phone saying they did not want a deep cleaning. It made me wonder how many people they've tried this with. They may target patients who don't know better, but they picked the wrong one this time. This office is unprofessional, dishonest with insurance, in violation of patient rights, dismissive of concerns, and disrespectful toward children with special needs. I would never recommend them to anyone, especially parents. If anyone had any issues with this company and I'm sure there is please speak up and I will help you take legal action and report them, free of charge. I will do all the work, I know all the organizations and will make all the documents legally binding with any proof and statements you would like to share.

I may amend this review if/when I have more visits with Dr. Patel). The good/great: - Staff Friendly - Dr. Patel himself very friendly, funny, talkative. - Accepts almost any insurance. The Rest: - Panoramic X-Rays only (at least initially): These are good for showing the most obvious stuff, but the more specific stuff require bitewing x-rays to show cavities or problems between teeth and other difficult areas. (Think CT SCAN vs. MRI. A CT shows the obvious stuff. MRI's are much more involved and thorough, tho). - No Hygienists. Dr. Patel does the cleanings himself. I don't mind this per se, but most of the offices I have come from have the hygienists do the cleanings. - The Cleaning itself was literally about 5-7 minutes. To be fair, Dr. Patel said his strategy is "very conservative" (he does only what is necessary), but it just seemed too quick? Dentists I have come from before I had cleanings that were on average 20-30 minutes in length. Dr. Patel also did not use any "water jet tool" during the cleaning. - Basic technology (or so it seemed) used. At the end of the cleaning, somebody gave me a small paper cup of water to "wash out" my mouth, and then spit the water into a sink. You have to do it slowly/carefully so it doesn't get all over. In past offices, a water jet tool was (repeatedly) used by the hygienist throughout the cleaning. All in all - I will give this office at least one more try. I did like Dr. Patel, and while I can't yet comment on more involved dental work he may do, the cleaning just (seems to be) a very very quick basic service.

This really helps to alleviate any anxiety about any and all procedures. He does great with kids too! I heard him talk a young boy through an entire cavity filling and the boy seemed absolutely fine during the procedure, start to finish. I just hope he doesn't get too popular, because then it will be hard to book an appointment with him! So let's just keep this between you and me, ok? ;-)

My wife and I were happy customers here for about 2 years and I used to have a 5-star review here…read more(now removed). Then Dr Safi and Dr Albazzaz left and everything went downhill fast. I don't know the third dentist (Dr Javad, I think), so this review is a reflection on the office staff and not him. When I heard Drs Albazzaz/Safi left, I called to inquire about what happened. I had a hard time getting a live person to answer and when I did, she was clueless and said her manager would call me. No call back. I called again a couple weeks later and left a voicemail explaining that I had questions as to what was going on with their practice. Again, no call back. I'd had enough, so found a new dentist and called to cancel my upcoming appt at North Ave Dental Associates. I explained why I was leaving and they canceled my appt. Then, lo and behold, I get a call from their office a few weeks later asking to set up my next appt. I politely told them for the second time that I was no longer a customer. My wife had an even worse time- she emailed them in March to request her dental records as the new dentist required them. No response. She had to follow up both by email and phone several more times between then and early August before they FINALLY sent the requested records. Dealing with a dentist office should not be this difficult. The dentists here may be fine, but so are a lot of other dentists and many of them would come without the office staff headaches.

This review is long overdue…read more SMILE VIEW... TWO RIVERS ... TOWER... Whatever the actual company name is - I took myself and my daughter for our 6 month exam/cleaning. Scummy place. Believe me there is much better in this area. All of their equipment looked like it was harvested from some dental auction house :( After providing my exam, which took over an hour they told me that they needed to do an extreme cleaning called a de-scaling process (I believe they called it). Right away, I knew something was "off", just in the way they tried selling me the need of this service. I tried to refuse, telling them that I only want the cleaning paid for by my insurance and they said no. Okay... My daughter, they said had like (4) cavities. Again, this was a shock because we had seen our previous dentist just 6 moths before. When I asked how this can be they said that it was because my daughter liked to used lime on tacos - even though she has tacos like 1-2x per week. my daughter is a young adult. She brushes her teeth 2x/day, so she's not irresponsible. Anyways, my daughter decided to have (2) fillings taken care of by this office before switching dentists. First, because she had to return because they weren't filed down properly. But second, at the end of the appointment, they requested the deductible payment, which is common, but after getting my EOB (Insurance: Explanation of Benefits) which shows the contracted rate for the service, I noticed there was a $17 x 2 overcharge. This EOB came in over a month AFTER the service had been received. So I called the office and someone put me in touch with the office manager. I explained the problem and she said she'd look into it and get back to me. After another 2 weeks went by, I called again. This time she told me that I needed to contact the corporate office and gave me the number. It took another 2 more attempts to recover the overcharge, where I ended up finally threatening to report them. All in all, it probably took me 6 weeks to get a reimbursement. Later, less than a month later, after finding another dentist in our dental insurance plan, I had to schedule for new exams for both my daughter and myself, to be re-evaluated based on this practices recommendations for treatment. I saw a seasoned dentist, who unlike Smileview, had been in dental practice for over 30 years. There was not one thing required for my teeth outside a normal, 6 month cleaning, and those other (2) cavities they told my daughter she needed to treat? They did not exist. Listen, If you go here, just know that most insurance companies allow for 2nd opinions and I highly recommend it before you allow them to do any treatments. Also, CHECK THOSE EOB's. This is a common scam, where they overcharge and unless YOU discover it, you'll never realize it. Don't get discouraged - even if they try to give you the run around, stay on it and notify your insurance provider and SOCIAL MEDIA of their dishonesty. Tell your non-English speaking neighbors because their were a lot of them in the waiting room and getting the appropriate assistance to uncover deceit is often harder for you. And finally, just in case they deny this claim, saying we never saw you, or I must be mistaken - NOPE. I know exactly who and where you are, in fact you are so close to my house, I could walk and be there in under 5 minutes. This would have been really nice and convenient but unfortunately, you guys are SCAMMERS through and through and your facility is disgusting. GO TO JUNCTION INSTEAD, but ALWAYS check those EOBs no matter where you go.
