I was a Grundy customer since 2019 and have never had to make a claim with them. A post on a car…read moreclub came up regarding collector car insurance and someone was claiming that Grundy was very restrictive. On their main page it says you can drive your car to work every once in a while so I wanted to double check that with them by sending an email. The response was less than professional. The question was never answered, instead they sent me a "ACKNOWLEDGEMENT OF USE" form to sign again because I asked a simple question. The form they sent me reads: "... It will not be driven to work or school or used for business or commercial purposes..." Their website reads: "It is even OK if occasionally you drive your collector car to work to show it off to friends." They also requested that I again send them information about mine and my wife's daily drivers. Stay away, they are shady.

I used to think I always had decent renters and auto insurance. Over the years, I only had to use…read moreit once or twice, but the experience was just fine. I always purchased directly from the provider and assumed I was getting a decent deal. When the time came to explore options for my first home, I quickly realized I was in over my head when I received my first quote from a provider and had no idea how to compare the three options they sent me. All these insurers that advertise quick quotes and comparisons are basically total BS. So, I started talking to some friends that also recently bought their first home, and they recommended Emmanuel Insurance. It never even crossed my mind to use a broker, but after one conversation with Tyler, it immediately made sense to work with people that actually know that they're talking about. They live and breathe this stuff every day and aren't tied to any one provider. Tyler was super friendly and easy to work with as he determined our needs, and quickly put together some recommendations on not only getting the best homeowner's policy, but bundling it with our auto to get even better coverage, for cheaper. Email and phone communication was quick and easy throughout. We almost didn't qualify for the best policy due to some specifics with our home, but Tyler negotiated with the provider and was able to get the coverage through. My homebuying process was stressful and frustrating at every single step, except for this one. Tyler, Jay, and Dianne handled everything insurance-related for us, and there were no hiccups at closing. I'll never go direct to the provider again, and am glad I'm now part of the "Emmanuel Family"!
