Only rating it a 1 star because I can not rate it a 0…read more The young asian guy in the front was the rudest person i've ever encountered. my dad is a spanish only speaker as i went to translate for him and he was very rude and mocking him. he knew i spoke english and he would still talk badly about him loudly in english. the older lady in the front office was being humiliated by him while we were in there also. terrible experience. Brandon is his name, snatching papers rudely out of peoples hands and throwing papers in the office. on the other hand, Dr. Gong was really easy going, he is a very kind man. Needs to train his son Brandon how to treat people. He was complaining to the older lady in the front and he said the only thing she can complain about is if an active shooter gets there because they're killing her first. Very extremely rude, talked to several people who have gone and they all have the same experience with this so called brandon.

Decided to go to dr Gootendorst after my husband referred him to me. Had a consultation, he took…read morex-rays and went over my spine. Everything seemed very professional. He suggested I came back 2x a week for 3 months or so to fix me. After having a baby and sleeping wrong I was experiencing really tight shoulders and mobility had decreased significantly on my upper body. Long story short pain started on right shoulder once my pain crept to left lower back he said he would be unable to help me. He didn't refer me to physical therapist, maybe I expected too much. Noticed he wouldn't really help with the pain. Him adjusting me was only covering up the problem I'd say. Anyway I believe I'm having sciatic nerve issues because not the discomfort had crept to gluteal area/back of my knee. The fact that he said "once the pain/discomfort is out of the area of the spine I will be unable to help you" seemed kind of unprofessional. I decided not to go to him anymore unless I needed him to "pop me" because seems like that was all he did. My husband loves him. I tell my husband how does pain start at the shoulders then creep down the spine to lower back then to gluteus medius and he says he can't do anything for me.. maybe it's just me idk.

Thank you Yelp for standing up for honesty and transparency :) I have still not received any words from the office themselves about this incident since Torrey hung up on me on the phone while I was answering a question she asked. Made an official complaint with the Board of Chiropractors about the chiropractor I reported to Torrey and I also will be sharing Torrey's behavior about the report as my mom is another patient of hers and that is extremely inappropriate for her to bring my mom into the conversation. Also, from how frustrated she sounded about making a report and kept defending this chiropractor that was sexually inappropriate with me, I was worried she would not report it herself. I have proof of the misconduct that I will be sharing with the Board. It's tragic it came to this. If Torrey had offered to keep us from having any contact where I can go to the office and be able to avoid seeing or talking to him, that would have been amazing because then I wouldn't have been scared to continue receiving care. But instead she got defensive, was only concerned about her business, and immediately got inappropriate with me when I started crying on the phone and couldn't stop when the chiropractor I had seen for over 10 years was defending the other chiropractor and not offering any solutions for me. I didn't say I was going to sue them or anything, but her reaction to me was like I was threatening to sue or something. Which I wasn't in any capacity. She said "what do you want me to do?" about the situation, and I said "I don't know, I just want to be able to attend treatment without feeling scared." I have previous sexual assault trauma, which I have discussed with them. This situation has been very negative to my health. I shouldn't have to defend myself against my first ever complaint, especially when I had only started seeing this other chiropractor in the office for not even 2 months before this situation became what it was. And I have been at this office since before Torrey took it over, so like over 13 years. It's just mind boggling her response. So women, please don't be afraid to stand up for yourself when you are wronged. And please be careful.
