I informed her that it had been a week without the meds and I was not pleased. A few days later I received a certified letter "Notification of Discharge" informing me that she would no longer provide medical care for me and to find a new doctor. I missed the call from my awesomely concerned family doctor who had already reviewed my ER records despite the fact that it was a holiday and she was supposed to be relaxing. She wanted to have me come in for a follow-up exam. Since I didn't recognize the number and my voicemail box was jammed full, I didn't know I was supposed to go in. But on Thanksgiving, in the evening, when I relapsed into that toxic pain and shaking, my family called Dr. Rentel. She was there, and she had advice. She got me through the night and saw me first thing Monday. This is the most compassionate doctor. I love her to pieces. She has her patients' best interest in mind. She really cares about your health. And she's funny and easy to talk to. I have high praise for Dr. Rentel. If you're looking for a new family doctor, definitely try to get in with her. It will be tough. Since she's so amazing, she's always booked full. But if you happen to call the office when they're taking new patients, you musn't undervalue the opportunity. Jump on it! She took a good look at me and said, "Yes you do." She gave me oral steroids and within 24 hours my breathing issues were totally resolved. A very, very bad experience…read more It honestly felt like all they cared about was taking my money. I went there because I was having kidney pain. At the front desk, I told them I thought I might have a kidney stone and explained my symptoms in detail. When I saw the doctor, she basically told me the exact same thing: "I think you have a kidney stone." X-ray? Not available. Ultrasound? Not available. I asked her, "Then what exactly did I pay for?" She told me, "For me to see you." I asked for a urine test, and they wanted another $40. I said fine, no problem, and paid for it. After the urine test was done, I asked for my results. They told me they could only give me the report because their system wouldn't allow them to give me the actual test results. It really feels like this place is only interested in taking people's money. They don't want to do the work, make an effort, or actually help the patient. My rating: ZERO
