In NY the number of independent stationary stores has dropped over the past decade, with the decline in written correspondence and skyrocketing rents, so when I saw this small paper goods store in the historic district in Naples, I knew I had to walk in.
They carry paper, journals, greeting cards, postcards, wrapping paper, gift bags and boxes, paper party supplies, pens and calligraphy supplies. They're known for being a book binder and traditional paper producer having been in the business for over 100 years.
Store space is cramped inside with all the products they carry, and old town Naples isn't exactly known for being spacious. And the decor looks straight out of the 60s, but it's inspiring to see a local business strumming to their own tune. read more
