Every time I've reached out with simple questions, including outside of tax season, I've been met with a response like I'm bothering them and I'm inconveniencing them by asking about part of my tax return. I've asked about a possible number mixup on my 1040, and she replied back on the phone with a sigh and "just letting you know, you're not my only client. It's not my job to know your numbers". WHAT? What type of CPA says that to a client? I found out they never filed my taxes after paying the ridiculous fee and signing the e-file authorization, and when I asked why the IRS has no record of anything being filed, they replied back with, "IDK, call the IRS". Charging $450 for personal taxes is a ripoff. They're painfully expensive for the quality of service you receive. Her firm does the absolute bare minimum for you to prepare them (incorrectly, might I add, and then if you ask them about it, be prepared to be met with a sense of you inconveniencing them for doing the job you're paying them to do.) PLEASE AVOID! There are so many more professional CPA's out there in MontCo than Kathy. she's the worst.

She played fast and loose with these IDENTITY documents by returning them to me in a postal envelope that had been tampered with before I received it in my secure apartment mailbox. She continues to believe regular email and USPS mail to be acceptable forms of identity document delivery, despite my repeated security concerns. DEPLORABLE. INSUPPORTABLE. INATTENTIVE. DISGRACEFUL.

So, I went to their website to find out more about this organization. And though when first called, my first appointment was with Judy, I had to reschedule due to a work conflict and I'm extremely satisfied that Fred Miller completed my 2020 taxes. He was efficient, kind, and asked me numerous questions to ensure that I received the largest return from Federal, State, and local governments. I was also impressed that he is an Enrolled Agent, which means he speaks to the IRS often. As long as Fred is working with H&M Tax Service, I will be using him moving forward for all my tax needs.

I was having a hard time managing my own bookkeeping and was inquiring about this service. I met with Tara and she was condescending, defensive, and was gaslighting me when I started crying on the call after she went on a diatribe about the importance of bookkeeping. I also disagreed with her statement that "Bookkeeping is the backbone of your business." Unfortunately, Rose was also on the call and there wasn't any intervention.
