After that, we did what seemed to be endless research before making a decision regarding builders across the country. Selecting Yankee Barn Homes was the best decision we could have made. From our very first visit to the model home in NH, through our search for the perfect location, to our recent move in, YBH always provided the right amount of information and guidance to make informed decisions, without ever being burdensome or leaving us with questions. Everyone we interacted with was pleasant, patient, knowledgeable and willing to share his or her experience for our benefit. YBH made every decision and step in the process as painless as possible, and the result is our beautiful, energy efficient "forever" home. Specifically, Chris Sevigny at YBH was incredible to work with - a talented designer, knowledgeable and experienced in his craft and just a generally good person. Other reviewers have made comments about a former employee. I can say with certainty, the personal issues of that former employee never impacted any interaction with YBH. Furthermore, the actual product, our new post and beam home, is amazing. Since the day construction began, total strangers have stopped in to ask us about our "beautiful" home, and our new neighbors tell us that people on the street affectionately refer to our home as "the barn". My wife and I contemplated building a post and beam house on our farm property for years and…read morealthough we came close to making it happen a few times, we always put it off because of the uncertainty of the final costs and the reliability of the builders we were considering. Then one day my wife stumbled across Yankee Barn Homes in New Hampshire and after a couple of conversations and site visits to some of their homes, we were sold. The design process was fantastic, it centered on a days visit inside a model we liked. While we asked to remove walls, enlarge rooms and relocate bathrooms and laundry facilities, Chris Sevigny and Andrew Button provided feedback and recommendations and made it all happen on screen. Before the day was out, we did a virtual walk through our soon to be Yankee Barn Farmhouse. From there, the build process was both exciting and surprisingly fast and smooth. Living in Canada with our property in Southwestern Ontario, we were unable to witness the build process but were kept up to date with photos and progress reports. The delivery of our house was unreal, 8 flat bed trucks arriving in our small community all numbered and labeled so our assembly crew could unpack it and assemble it like it was a well documented lego puzzle. Yankee Barn sent an awesome site supervisor, Andrew Martin, to manage the assembly and within 30 days we were walking through the shell of our home sealed from the outside weather. We are now living through the final finishing stages of our home and can't say enough about how exciting and educational this process has been. The Yankee Barn team has been fantastic, they enabled us to stop the dreaming the dream and start living the dream and the final product will be better than we have ever imagined.

I hired Mike to for a complete rebuild on a barn/garage attached to my daughter's house in Conway. Mike's plans were innovative, exciting and fit the existing decor. In addition, Mike is truly a client-centered person who will listen to all requirements. In any respect, Mike has worked with DeFiore & Grubb, my builders, who are clearly, the absolute best in the area. In the design and building arenas nothing is cheap. However, in the case, you cannot go wrong with true professionals!
