They both are incredible at their craft, care about their patients, and have great personalities. I have come in panicked about small issues, and they never cease to calm me down and make whatever I was worried about perfect. They work in tandem with and recommend fantastic specialists - ie: periodontist. Everyone from the front desk staff to the assistants are all welcoming, kind, and professional. There is no new material or screws required, just to screw back they wanted $675, could which are already existing. This is an outrageous charge, The whole implant procedure for me in India cost was less than this. I tried to negotiate and they came down to $450 for a 20 minutes service without any cost of material. I walked out and did not take the service. The dental cost is outrageous in US and not sure how seniors who live in limited Social security income could afford the dental care. I understand Medicare is not providing any Dental care and the American dental association is lobbying against dental care by Medicare.

I've been going to Dr. Ryan since before I can remember. Because of that, I've been here quite often as a kid and now as an adult due to the earlier abuse my teeth underwent. When I hear people talk about their dental horror stories, or the dread they feel when they have an appointment coming up, I could never really relate. I've had my fair share of fillings, some of which were deeply decayed, but never had a bad experience during the fillings. I've ground some teeth down with my constant clenching, but the crown procedure was no big deal. And lastly, this week, I had to get my first root canal. I'll be honest, this was the first time I was kind of scared, due to the negative image root canals have. Just do a quick google search for root canal and I'm sure some of the top results talk about the "horrific pain" the patients felt. After undergoing the process with Dr. Ryan at the helm, the only real discomfort I felt was having to keep my jaw open for a few hours. Nothing compared to the crazy stuff you'll read online. I'm going to be moving out of state in a few months, but I definitely plan on going back to IL to get all my dental work done here. They excel in their work and Jill, the receptionist, goes above and beyond in helping with insurance, billing, scheduling, settling down a nervous patient, you name it. They might be a little archaic in terms of their lack of online presence, but it's because Dr. Ryan is a no frills dentist who cares firstly about his patients and not the number of seats he can fill. I'd be hesitant to go to any of these dentists on yelp who offer discounts for good reviews or gift card deals because they can't let their work speak for them. I called a multitude of dentists for an emergency appointment. They either had no availability until weeks later, were out of network, did not take any insurance, or were in vacation. Even my former dentist of 20 years, Darien Dental, did not even give me a call back! The only dentist who was on vacation, but had an extremely helpful receptionist was Dr. Ryan. This lady recommended that I try Grove Dental. I did call Grove, got an immediate appointment and am scheduled for an extraction. I am so far, very happy with Grove, however, should that feeling change, I know that I will be seeing Dr. Ryan. If he is as good as his receptionist (gosh, I wish I had gotten her name), I will be in great hands!
