I saw Dr. Tempastini for many years and he was wonderful! When he retired a few years ago I stayed with the practice; however, from what I understand the dentist to whom the practice was sold is not the same dentist who works at the practice. Dr. Adam Senalan uses scare tactics in order to perform unnecessary services . I saw him several times and had a couple of procedures done that Dr. Tempastini had previously informed me were not necessary for me. I wanted to trust Dr. Senalan. But I simply cannot. I will be finding another dentist and cannot recommend this practice anymore. read more

Was a loyal patient of Dr. Dan (and his dad!) for over 35 years. They delivered excellent care. After they retired, new ownership caused me to find somewhere new. "Dr. Adem" is really impressed with himself, rude to his staff and patients, and prioritizes his time management over chair-side manner. He literally interrupted my hygienist in the middle of a cleaning to come in and do his cursory exam because "it's just easier for me to see you when I want to than wait for her to be done." Already had one foot out the treatment room before I was able to grab his (exasperated) attention to ask any questions. I read someone complaining about doctor coming in early into their cleaning, lol people can't stop their hate, they try to ruin multiple families livelihood just because. So with that out of the way, I actually appreciate the doctor respecting my time and not letting me wait afterwards, especially if they know they are running behind. I have been going to Darien Dental for about 30 years and always had great experiences. I had my teeth cleaned today and I feel as if I had been assaulted. My gums are literally throbbing. The dentist came in right after the hygienist started her cleaning and I think she was trying to make up time. It was very painful even though I let her know that she was hurting me. I am certainly going to reevaluate remaining a patient. read more

I've been coming to Darien Dental my entire life and have never had a bad experience. In fact, now that I have moved to the city I still venture out to the suburbs for my appointments. Susan is my hygienist, she is very friendly and does a fantastic job! Dr.Tempistini has a great sense of humor and loves to joke always telling me I should eat more candy! Dr. Dan has been my dentist since 1983 and before that his father worked on me. Over the years I have had work done with the utmost care and excellent work. Recently I had an emergency. I knocked out my front tooth over 4 th of July. I called the office Saturday evening, and got a message saying Dr Dan was out of the office until 7/8, leave a message if this was an emergency. Not only did I get a call back by Sandi, Dr Dan made a trip into the office and spent almost 4 hours working on my mouth while Sandi assisted. These folks made me feel and look beautiful again as well as maintaining a sense of humor and never made me feel like I imposed on their time. I am for ever grateful. I've been going to Darien dental since I was a child and have always liked them. I was disappointed this past visit and will no longer be going there now. I called several months in advance to schedule check up and gave the staff my insurance information asking them to verify my benefits to make sure there were no issues and everything would be covered. Initially they told me they took my insurance and no problems. After my visit I now have $100 bill because they failed to inform me they were out of network. I could have gone to another provider in network and not paid anything. I'm disappointed. read more

They certainly don't waste any time in getting their work done in this office. I always hated waiting around & listening to people chatter too much, but this dentist is wonderful. He gets his work done, he is professional yet very caring. I couldn't have found a better dentist. I got sick & had to find someone closer to home, & I got lucky. I had gone to his father many years before & thought I'd try him and boy did I get LUCKY....I highly recommend this dentist to anyone. The office staff are so very friendly & courteous. Outdated equipment! Do not get any x-rays here as they will consistently PUSH them on you and the machine looks ancient. It doesn't look like they spend any money for equipment or upkeep as the patient chairs have visible rips in them. Their hours are terrible if you have a job all day. When calling for an appt. they seem to think the patient needs to do whatever it takes to make it for an appt. and are unprofessional on the phone huffing or being snippy. We work long hours and they are there on a couple Saturdays with limited hours. The dentist needs to update his office and stop making so many jokes. When he looks at your teeth it doesn't even seem like he's really looking as he rushes through. I will never go back here. read more
