They have an extremely high turnover with pediatric dentists, dental hygienists and office staff. While we were happy with the adult care we received from Dr. Parks, having a constant changeover in other staff affected our quality of care and overall experience. Additionally I had to stay really on top of keeping track of my family's xray schedule, as what was covered by our insurance because staff would attempt to perform X-rays without verifying coverage with our dental insurance. We decided to finally leave the practice after we cancelled an appointment. I had provided 24 hours noticed and was informed to penalize us, for not giving the required 48 hours notice, we would have to pay a scheduling fee each time we made an appointment, for every family member. I wrote an email to Dr. Parks to explain that my youth had pneumonia and I was treated very badly by staff for canceling appointments with 24 hours notice related to her illness. His staff member Denden intercepted the email and refused to forward it to him. After all the years my family had been with the practice it was extremely disappointing to be treated in such a way.

I came to Dr. Peter Yeh in early 2020 with pain in an upper molar (#3) that had already been filled…read moretwice. My previous dentist had clearly told me that if it hurt again, I would need a root canal and a crown. I told Dr. Yeh clearly that I wanted a root canal and had even purchased dental insurance specifically for that reason. But he insisted it wasn't necessary yet and that the nerve was still fine -- so he suggested another filling. I trusted his judgment at the time because he spoke Chinese and seemed experienced. He said he would fill two teeth, but without clearly informing me, he filled three. Afterward, I had pain, bite problems, and eventually a gum fistula -- a sign of infected or necrotic pulp. I contacted him again, but by that point I had completely lost trust and refused further treatment. Even with insurance, I paid around $450 out-of-pocket. The money isn't the main issue -- it's the feeling of being misled and ignored, despite being clear about what I wanted. Now years later, I still regret not insisting on what I knew was right for me. I'm sharing this so others can make better-informed decisions. Just because someone speaks your language doesn't mean they'll act in your best interest. Please be cautious.
