Don't you just love an afternoon spent in the dental chair?…read more If so, please return to your local mental health facility. They've been looking for you. No one, even those in the profession, likes to have their mouth pried open, grinding tools creating a construction zone in the maw, suction devices invading one of the most private areas of your being. But! I finally took my broken tooth over to Hinckley's Financial District, where the capable and friendly tooth-masons of Precision performed a swift, painless and really-not-all-that-unpleasant half hour returning my grill to full functionality. (I had been prepared for at least an hour, some mandibular pain, a few days of talkin' funny. Okay, funny-ER.) What a relief to be able to chew on both sides, every molar mating just so with it's partner molar. Pleasant office, very modern and new, all the latest toothy technology. Country music in the background. Not live, but still. Can't ever'body play no banjo the live-long day, amiright? "I pray thee, peace. I will be flesh and blood, For there was never yet philosopher That could endure the toothache patiently, However they have writ the style of gods And made a push at chance and sufferance." I can't recommend this place enough! Everyone is so pleasant and the staff here does great work…read more The receptionist was very friendly and the hygienist that worked on my teeth (Ally!) was super considerate and helpful. I personally have a lot of anxiety surrounding dentist visits, but she made sure I knew what was happening each step of the way and answered my endless slew of questions without ever seeming impatient haha. For once, I'm not dreading my next visit! :)

I have had problems with the fitting of a dental implant, and was left flailing in the wind for several weeks. At this point I do not know if my problems will be resolved, or if they hope I will just fade away. Communication seems to be a major problem between the dentists and the patients, and the staff are not always in the loop.

I am 72 years old and have had a fear of dentists my entire life. For some reason or another any…read moredental procedure I have had has been extremely painful and uncomfortable. I have also endured procedures that were supposed to fix issues but resulted in making things worse. For that reason I have not gone to a dentist as often as I should have and the result was a lot of missing teeth. My fault, I understand that. If I had taken better care of my mouth and visited the dentist regularly I might have avoided a lot of trouble. Last year my wife was referred to Dr. Brent Van Hala by a friend. She came home telling me how much she liked his staff and their approach to dental work. She tried for several months to convince me to see Dr. Brent but I kept making excuses. Finally, late last year I made an appointment. I was sceptical but Dr. Brent came up with a game plan to fix my dental issues. I was very impressed with his chair-side manner and with his staff. I have had several procedures over the last year and I can say without any doubt that the results have been life changing! He has such compassion for the patients he serves. He is always very calm and caring as he works. I have never had such confidence in a dentist before. He also takes the time to keep up to date with the latest techniques and equipment. I was the world's worse sceptic when it came to dentists in general, but now I am singing the praises of Dr. Van Hala and his staff! Trust me, if Dr. Brent could turn me around then he can help anyone. I highly recommend Dr. Brent Van Hala!

That is true, but I believe it refers to the new and young dentists. They are money hungry, and think that people are stupid that they will believe anything the dentist tells them. We as patients need to take over our own health and teeth. They forget that we pay them, they do not pay us. So sick of dentists upselling you stuff that you do not need. Then they think you will go along with their lies. There are so many dentists out there people. Please do yourself a favor people and shop around for good dentists with integrity and better prices.
