My dentist retired so i'm having to look for a new one…read more I had a implant put in and it failed due to a massive infection. So now instead of a implant i have to have a bridge done. I went in to get a teeth cleaning as that was priority one since it had been 3 years prior.This way a new dentist could see everything more clear. The cleaning went great and the dentist seemed to be a good fit with her information she gave me that i had already been given from previous dentist. I had to set up another appointment to look at the rest of my issues because she didn't have enough time that day. so i got my price for the bridge 7600 which i have no problem with except one small part which i planed to ask her about and resceduled to today to plan the rest. Now a crown includes impression to make it.Grind the tooth down. Make a temp crown.Remove temp and guma, cement, place new crown.basically all labor and installation materials.and the new crown itself.1000 to 1400 is fair prices.they came in at 1200 so price is fine. So i went in today to do the 2nd part and get a scedule for the teeth that needed to be fixxed asap so as not to lose them. Everything went fine and i agreed with the plan. Where things went bad is when i tested her character by asking that simple question. IF A CROWN INCLUDES ALL LABOR, MATERIAL. THEN WHY WOULD I PAY FULL PRICE FOR THE BRIDGE SECTION THAT REQUIRES NO TOOTH LABOR.WHY PAY 1200 FOR A SECTION THAT DOESN'T HAVE ANY LABOR OR CEMENTS ETC. IF ANYTHING IT SHOULD BE THE SAME PRICE AS A IMPLANT WHICH IS TYPICALLY 700 ABOUT HALF OF A FULL CROWN. Instead of being professional she got mad and lashed out.I said it was very dishonest that you would try to convince me its your suppliers fault as they make the prices.Instead of taking ownership that its YOUR practice and you set labor prices not YOUR supplier. I never raised my voice, i was calm and regular volume. I would never cheat or pass the blame to any of my customers and id expect the same from others to me. she started raising her voice and telling me i can go anywhere else .I don't have to choose her.which of corse i said i agree and will be doing just that,i don't deal with dishonest people. She then said good i'm glad, imagine having to deal with you everyday.She muttered some other curse words under her breath as she walked away. I stopped going to this practice a couple of years ago after witnessing the staff loudly and openly arguing in front of patients during my last visit. My husband remained a long-term patient, but after his recent experience, he is leaving as well.Last April, my husband had a crown placed that was noticeably lighter than the rest of his teeth. When he pointed out the mismatched color, the technician dismissed his concern by claiming the material would eventually stain. They handed him a mirror and asked if he could see it when he smiled. While he could not see it with a normal smile, it was highly noticeable when he pulled his lip down. The dentist then came in, asked the same question, and insisted you couldn't see it rather than actually fixing the mistake. To make matters worse, I recently discovered an undisclosed $100 charge from that same visit. The amount he paid at the counter did not match our insurance company's Explanation of Benefits (EOB). When I called to ask about the discrepancy, the staff member was rude, defensive, and refused to listen. She claimed the $100 fee was for "upgraded materials" that they intentionally do not bill to insurance. It is frustrating that they completely neglected to ask him if he even wanted this unbillable upgrade, as he never would have agreed to it. They simply slipped this fee into his paperwork without any clear, verbal disclosure. Charging patients for unrequested upgrades, delivering sub par dental work, and treating concerned family members with hostility is unacceptable. Please check your teeth and your insurance EOBs closely if you use this office.

The first set costs around 2500.00 dollars and was the second lowest price and quality set that they offered. Not even a year after having the dentures. The teeth began to come out. I had them repaired several times at that location. Only to cost me an additional 150 to 200 extra dollars every visit. Eventually they broke altogether. I went back to this same location. I bought another set. This was the second set of dentures purchased. This set was the second to the most expensive set that they sale at that location. This set cost me 3500.00 dollars. I haven't had this set for a little over a year. And again, one of the front teeth has come out of the dentures. I actually swallowed the tooth while eating a meal. I looked up the number of that office. Only to find that the office has a notice of temporary closed on the page. I called the number only to get the run around for the switch board operator. They said, they sent an email to another Affordable Dentures at the Stockbridge location. That someone would give me a call back within 24 to 48 hours. Why is it so difficult to get service from these providers? I would never recommend Affordable Dentures at any location. They are in my opinion a bunch of scam artists that are only out to line their own pockets. Then close down the business so you can't receive service when you have a complaint or emergency. A week before the appointments, I received a text saying both were canceled because there was no hygienist available that day. Understandable- things happen and of course hygienist can't be replaced on such short notice but when I called to reschedule, I was told the next available appointments were in December. Yes, December. They kindly offered to put us on a "short call list" which I had to call back later to follow up and still there were still no appointments Not ONE! I'm not sure how this office handles new patients, but canceling appointments made in advance and then pushing reschedules four months out is certainly a bold business model. When I called about it I was told that they did not have enough time to get the prior authorization prior to my procedure and they would not do an appeal to my insurance company. I refused to pay it. 14 years later they have turned me over to collections. I have had no communication from them since 2011. I advised the young lady at the collection agency - Syncon - that I would not be paying this and that Dentfirst is breaking the law as the statute of limitations have expired - it's 6 years in Georgia. Contact me again and you'll be talking to my attorney. Oh and instead of collection agency calling me they called my 71 year old brother who has Parkinson's and was very upset by the call.
