Showing this is NOT a double Smash Burger like I paid for. Ripped off
Alexis C.

Smashburger should be ashamed of the employees that work here and provide service, and this location in general. The day I flew, it seemed they were extremely short staffed and running a skeleton crew. Which is fine, and understandable, but NONE of the employees seemed to be moving with any sense of urgency. The cashier kept taking orders regardless, then finally one more person after I ordered she stopped taking orders for a good 20 minuso the kitchen could catch up. The wait time was pretty horrendous- like 20-30 min and all I ordered was a burger and fries. You would logically think that with the main menu item they sell (hamburgers, fries...) they would constantly have some burgers on the grill and fries frying with the amount of orders people were placing. But I guess that would make far too much sense for the people who work here, because they act like they have no brain cells hence why they're probably are working here. To top it off, I ordered and PAID for a double classic smashburger and only received a single smash. But Of course, with their turtle kitchen movements I had no time to realize this because by the time my food was ready my plane was boarding and I had to just take it and eat it on the plane. Terrible Smashburger experience.

Classic smash with single patty, tots, and miller lite

I'm always on the lookout for good airport food places with meals under $10 that is delicious but not a rip off. This is it for me if I ever find myself back in Louisville. Concourse B, near B11. A smash burger, tots, and a cold beer. Everything was perfection. A bit slow so I'd budget like 15-20 minutes of waiting time to be safe.

I give it a 3 because the burger was good but it took a half an hour standing in line just to order. Woefully under staffed. Did I mention the burger was very good.

Smash burger in Louisville Kentucky at the Louisville International Airport. It's a small shop that is located next to gate six and in front of gate nine. From the look of the place. It looks amazing. You have the signs that is big and bright and looks like so welcoming to the shop. This smash burger has everything from other locations on their sign. Like chicken tenders, burgers, fries, tater tots and so much more. The place smell so good. The place is clean and looks very new from the eye of the customer. Everything looks well kept. Unfortunately, the customer service isn't the greatest. The guy that was taking our order looks miserable and I mean he looks like he really hated his job. I ask how he was doing and no response and has a reaction on his face mostly saying "just order your food" That is how he was looking at me. I just didn't feel welcome and that isn't the best feeling of a customer. Made me feel like I didn't belong there for myself. I didn't get to eat anything because they was mostly out of stuff. I wanted the turkey burger but the worker that I mentioned in the previous comment just said "We are out" I said ok and just walked away because that is mostly all I wanted after that because again, I didn't feel like I should be there for some reason. I kinda do feel bad for him. He looks like he's the only there at the moment and very busy but still. That kinda took out away my mood. You can also tell by the other customers that they aren't happy with his reaction too. You can easily get to this location after you entering security. Just walk down all the down the hall and turn right and it's right next to American Airline gates B6 like I said in my previous comment above. I wouldn't recommend this location. I would go next door to Goals Pizza. Unless you want bad customer service. Maybe if you come on a different day with a different worker then maybe this smash burger will be better. Hopefully they get more items in stock for customer satisfaction. Overall 1.0/5

I rarely put a bad review but this place takes the cake . Thought I gave it a second try here but nothing change. The staffs looks like they don't want to work there and has no customer services skills at all .. no personalities not even a smile or greetings . Where does this company hire these people from ? It's like the bottom of the bottom. No one forced them to be here if you don't like the job then work somewhere else . It's simple . Why so miserable looking and acting like you hate this world. They can't even make a simple burger . The buns are cold like it's sitting there forever . Meat is chewy and overcooked. The place looks like a mess with ketchup spills all over the floor . Don't go here cause it's not worth the headache and money .

30 minute wait for an airport hamburger is ridiculous. Clearly understaffed and poorly managed. Had to abandon my order after waiting 25 minutes just to be able to catch my flight. There were still 3 orders ahead of me when I left. Might as well have set that $12 on fire.

Waited half an hour for the food, couldn't even get the food before leaving on the flight. Didn't have shakes or many of the options.

The fries are proper chippies, thick square cut and long. Crispy outside, fluffy inside. And there are so many dips to choose from. Salads are crisp and light and a marvelous side. I cannot say enough good things. I love the grales.

We had a couple cocktails in here and the service was excellent even though it appeared they were filled to capacity. There were 4 of us in our party and we were seated at a table in the corner near the bar. Was definitely a cozy spot with so many people being in there and the bar being full. I had The Holy Ghost cocktail and it was a pomegranate hibiscus sour, it had just the right amount of sour! I do not like bitter drinks and this one was good and easy to drink. My husband had a couple of dark beers, I do not remember which ones but he liked them. They had a nice outdoor area but it was a bit too cool for that but it may be worth a return in the Spring to check it out. Bathroom was also really cool as the decor and theme spilled over into it. We will be back.

We were told to come back at 7:00 PM, so we did. When we returned, we were seated, but then told it would be another hour before our order could even be taken and our food brought out. That part was really frustrating--if we had known that upfront when we first put our name down, we could have planned differently. As for the food, it was decent. The burger itself was delicious and definitely the highlight. The fries were very oily but crispy--I personally liked them since I prefer well-done fries, but my daughter wasn't a fan. The layout of the place was also a bit confusing--it took a while to even find the restroom since it was tucked away in another area. Service-wise, I also had to ask for a refill--and only got one--which was disappointing, especially with such a big burger. Overall, spending close to three hours from arrival to finishing our meal just didn't feel worth it, especially with the lack of communication about wait times and limited service. Not a terrible spot food-wise, but the experience could definitely be improved.

There are also picnic tables out front. You get a faint whiff of the grill/smoker upon entering. Kylie was our bartender and she was fabulous - knowledgeable, friendly, and answered all of our questions with patience. Wife ordered a mango margarita and doesn't like a lot of tequila, so Kylie went half and gave her a shot on the side in case she wanted to add more. It was wonderful. I had a couple of beers. We started with the fried mushrooms, which aren't what you would expect. It's two large portobellos cut into chunks, battered, fried, and served with sun-dried tomato mayo. They were great. I then ordered a duck taco, brisket taco, and a side of Grippo Fries with smoked mayo. I'd never tried duck but that taco was smack-a-lackin'. The brisket taco was also good, and the fries were fantastic - sweet and spicy, fresh cut, and crispy. Wife ordered a pork belly slider and truffle fries. She enjoyed the slider but didn't care for the fries - just not her thing. The portions here are large. A side of fries will feed three people. We took a hefty portion of them home, as well as some of the mushrooms. We could've sat there at the bar and spent 3 hours socializing and enjoying a smattering of cocktails - love the setting. Look forward to going back and trying one of the burgers at some point.
