Played at our wedding during the ceremony, cocktail hour, and dancing. They were quite simply incredible; can't count the number of people that came up to us during and after the wedding to say how great they were. Dance floor was always high-energy and packed (and that's in contrast to a few other weddings we've been to where the dancing never quite took off).
During planning, Paul was receptive to our instructions (which were complicated in some instances), an offered well-reasoned advice based on his extensive experience when we needed it. He also visited the venue (despite travel time involved).
To try and give this review a bit of balance (and hopefully make you take note of all the positive stuff), I'll say that on occasion email responses were not always timely. But Paul is super responsive over phone. And let's be honest - the priority is crushing the event - which they did!
If you're like us, and a great party and guests having fun is a high priority, then go band, not DJ, and go with Smash City.
Of course if you've read a few glowing reviews of bands and are thinking they're all the same/great, contact Paul and go and see them in a bar (we saw a few bands this way). You will quickly realize Smash City is head and shoulders above the rest. read more
