I booked a cut and color…read moreon my ONE day off; the stylist lopped my hair off at my shoulders and then had the audacity to have a medical emergency and had to leave when she told me she was going to mix up color. one of her fellow stylists jumped in and finished my haircut and then told me to pay and reschedule for a color. now I understand that things happen, don't get me wrong. But that could have been handled a WHOLE lot better. The next day (!) someone called and let me know there would be a credit for the cost of my haircut if I wanted to call and reschedule the color, which is really the LEAST anyone could do, but honestly it was such an afterthought that I just have no desire to ever go back, credit or no. The haircut was ok (the second one) but I think I'm going to pass; this salon had one chance to make me feel pretty, and like I mattered. No one even offered to wash my hair, which I had specifically left filthy for the color. Boo

This happens because he bounces off the walls and leaves you sitting in the chair while visiting with whomever comes into the shop. Or he is busy showing you things on his phone. A 40-minute style takes an hour or longer. Even though you have an appointment, every time I show up for mine, he is still in the middle of the person ahead of me. He was never on time. If he screwed his appointments up and called me to see if I would change my date to help him out, I always did. He, however, never called back to reschedule a new date even though he said he would. He would never call us back for a new appointment if we became sick or had to cancel. No matter how many times we contacted him, he never called back. This was out of spite. This, along with the prior review issues, is why we left. There are better hairdressers out there who are cheaper and respect their customers and co-workes. This owner is an unhappy, busy body with a mean streak. If a client he had issues with called while I was there if he looked at the number and he didn't want to speak to that person he would not answer the call. He would let it go to VM or ask his girl Morgan to take a message. He then would trash that client calling and talk badly about them.

She had not even given me a hair lineup on my forehead at all and messed up the sideburns. (Ikr how do you mess up sideburns). #4 when I got home I had to obviously fix my hairline with my own clippers considering she didnt even attempt to line it up. #5) now you have to save the best for last..... Remember in the beginning when I said not to touch the hair on top of my head? Well she FUCKING cut off more than a few inches on top when I cleary said not to. If I could give this place a negative review I would, they aren't even worth the one star I'm allowed to give. I have difficult, thick hair and it's often hard to convey what I want done and find someone who understands my hair and isn't afraid to give me a real cut and nice layers. She made my hair look HOT. She cut gorgeous layers that look great curly or straight. She also gave me a great blow-out using both a blowdryer and straight-iron, and didn't rush through anything. Most importantly, her cut grew out so well: my hair didn't get weird and poofy or stringy and limp: it kept shape and looked nice even after two months. She only takes clients by request these days since she's also the manager of the salon, so make sure you ask for her. Their prices are affordable and your hair will look hot. Like mine.
