When needs for flexibility arise very little is done to accommodate. I had an appointment today that should have been for 2 hours I made a stupid incorrect time allocation from MI to IN time which was totally my fault but still arrived only 30 minutes late . I asked if the stylist could give me a cut instead of color which would quite easily be done in the time allotted to my appointment. I was told the stylist left the premises (at 1:30 in the afternoon on a Thursday) I could receive NO services and I still had to pay for the service I scheduled. I understand this is the salon's policy and did pay but made certain ALL future appointments were cancelled. I do not intend to go back. The receptionist made no attempt at all at being pleasant Yes this was my fault, I admit that but if you would like to be treated kindly and that your time is as important as the stylist's ( and the receptionist's ) you might want to skip this salon

I took my mother here for a very, very basic haircut. Mom is way past the age when she cared about styles or anything modern. She wanted a nice, neat cut, so that her thinning hair did not drive her crazy. And her hair really is thin. Like a lot of these inexpensive haircut places, you put your name on a list when you go in, and your name gets called when the stylist is ready. The young lady who took care of Mom asked a number of questions about style, how Mom combed her hair, and so on. I stood by in case Mom needed help (nothing wrong with her mentally, it is just that she hates to admit she doesn't hear so well at times). It only took about 10 minutes to give Mom a cut and blow dry. Mom got exactly what she she wanted. Fast Eddie's offers Senior Cuts for $11.00, one dollar less than the average price. When the stylist told Mom it was $11.00, Mom handed her a $20.00 dollar bill and said, keep the change. The stylist looked at me. I put out my hand, and the stylist counted out 9 singles. I gave $2.00 back to the stylist for her tip. Again, I think Mom didn't hear the price, and, rather than say, "What?", just guessed at what the stylist said. I am very grateful that the stylist did not take advantage of an old lady's hearing loss. Quick service, a good cut, and reasonable prices. Sounds good to me. If I didn't live 60 miles away, I'd probably give Fast Eddie's a try myself.

Great salon for any age group or gender…read more My husband and I travel for work so I am always super scared to try a new salon for a cut and color, I looked around, checked some places out and decided on Hair Express. My stylist was Suzie, she was always great! She never did any more or any less than what I asked for, she was ways happy, smiling and held conversation with me. I recommended my husband and a friend to her and they never went anywhere else after having their first appointment with her. I had given my regular hairdresser 4 chances to cut my hair like a picture I showed her. She did her best, but did not have the skill needed to cut my hair like the picture. I walked out of her salon with the greatest haircut and a blow-out style that gave me confidence to book my next color with Patsy. I had my color today and she added some, and evened-out, existing highlights that look more natural with my haircut. I walked out with beautiful brown warm tones with a perfect kiss of highlights and the shiniest hair ever! I give Patsy 10 stars out of 5! She was a lifesaver for me and is highly skilled in cuts, color and highlights! My best friend has already received a haircut from Patsy and loves the new Aluram products for her blowout! Parking here is a bit easier than other locations in Valpo, although it took me a hot second to find the entrance (it's at the front, right behind the sprout sign). The inside is smaller, with a two chair setup. Not that it matters, since it's appointment only. Of course as always, Amanda was friendly, understanding, and helpful. She is great at making you feel comfortable and relaxed, knowing you are in good hands. She's a great conversationalist. I always get my hair and eyebrows done when I go to see her, and (according to my wife) she always does a consistently fantastic job. I have been going to Amanda for long enough to see lots of her other works, colorings and detailed works on women's hair, and the pictures she shares or are shared by her clients are always top notch.
