This is going to be a long review, I apologize ahead of time. I've been to this salon several times…read moreand had the same stylist so I am very disappointed and confused by what happened to me yesterday. I had an appointment scheduled online, they take a $26.00 downpayment to discourage people from flaking on their appointment (which is totally understandable) anyhow it shows you the balance of your services when you book online, mine was $78 so I planned on bringing $120 so I could give Dakota (my stylist) a healthy tip. While I was getting checked out Dakota said I had two add-ons, Sheila told me the total, and it was $170 and some change, I was like, whoa wait a minute. I didn't think this was going to be $200 (remember I had already paid $26) apparently the "add-ons" were $30/each, which WAS NOT communicated to me nor has it ever happened in the past and the tip was preset on the machine and she couldn't figure out how to change it or let me choose a different tip. So the addons would be an additional $60 and I don't think I have to explain how wrong it is that the tip was precalculated in the price and couldn't be changed. I love my hair, and I love Dakota but this was wrong and has NEVER happened to me before. Sheila actually got upset with me and said "I didn't do anything to you", I was in shock. It was nearly $100 more than what was communicated to me on their website. I am devastated by this whole thing because obviously, I cannot go back there so I have to try to find someone else to do my hair. I was so upset I just wanted to get out of there so I paid. I did get a phone call a couple of hours later that said they refunded me the tip so Dakota gets to pay the price of what happened. But I guess he didn't tell me the additional cost for the add-ons in the first place. If you go there, make sure you tell them to clearly state that when they are using addons, because there is an additional charge, and it is not cheap. God, what a shame this was.
