Oh and let's not forget Tawny Kitaen, the later years, "working" the front desk. God forbid she need to get off her butt and tell your stylist you've arrived. And don't bother asking for a glass of water, like most salons provide; that will get you a reply so drenched in malice you'll wish the low lying sofa you're stuck to in the reception area would just absorb you whole. Why did I ever dare step foot here a second time you ask? My stylist kicked ass. Like major, she needs to be living in NYC and telling other people how hair's done, kick ass. So I would step foot into a porta potty if she asked me to. (Clearly this review is in no reflection on my stylist's performance.) I have since moved on, as has she, so let me make a suggestion to anyone looking for quality hair, at a QUALITY salon: Mirror Mirror or Runway Salon. I mean, I don't go for anything super crazy, but they never let me down. I think the pricing is reasonable as well. I have also had my hair styled for dances in the past and always got great results! I like having my hair colored there as well. One time I screwed up my hair so so badly from box dye gone wrong, and they were still able to salvage my disaster and make my hair look pretty and still healthy! They also have a masseuse and I felt great after having a massage! The lady was kind and didn't make it awkward (because I'm an awkward person). I think I dozed off a few times! It was so worth the money. I also have Gel Nails done there. I have had gel nails at other nail salons and for some reason they just didn't last that well. My nails always turn out pretty, I've never had any small cuts or screwed up cuticles you sometimes get post manicure, and the gel typically lasts about two weeks for me. They are soon moving their location to the plaza on Rt.60 near Outback (to give an idea if you're from the area) which is a bummer. The current location is so convenient and nice. I dread the location change, but I'm willing to deal with it because they are the only salon I feel comfortable laying the fate of my hair in the hands of! So from mani/pedis to massages, styling to dying and/or cutting, I suggest going to Karma.

I got 2 haircuts thereafter the course of two years and the first time lazy, unimpressive and barely changed anything except trim a few split ends and didn't even finish the job and make the ends look unnatural and gross I had to politely tell her myself to fix her blunt, eneven and choppy edges. The second time, they absolutely butchered my hair beyond repair and it's going to take years to grow back and it looks awful! I literally cried for days after this horrible hair cut. I have long, thick, flowing hair that I would always receive compliments on. I'm not trying to sound vain I only say this because I have low self esteem and my hair was the one thing I liked about myself and my looks. I still want to cry when I think about. I came back a the same week and showed the staff how bad it was asked for a free quick touch up and they REFUSED to help me and we're extremely rude and unprofessional. The entire staff there is a joke and worthless and incompetent at their jobs. The only place the people should be giving haircuts here is free ones to Federal Inmates, maybe underprivileged children or the homeless. Although they already have enough problems to deal with without terrible haircuts. The wouldn't even help me fix it or offer a refund. And I waited over an hour for my turn. 60$ for this kind of service. Everyday I look in the mirror and I remember how destroyed my hair is and it's gone. I got a bad haircut once and went back for help in a different salon years and they happily fixed it and had paper forms for me to fill out and everything. So them refusing to help was just their pathetic laziness, unwillingness to work and their half baked hair cuts that are unfinished. Avoid this place like the plauge if you love your hair like I did. The entire staff deserves to be fired.
